How do you record an ECG on an elephant seal? 🌊 We must ask our MAI Animal Health Representative, . We know it’s not a tough task with the Multi-Parameter Monitor (ECG, SpO2, and Internal Temp with Bluetooth), but we’re also sure that bucket of fish 🐟🐟 didn’t hurt either! We thank for allowing us to go behind the scenes and be part of the team! Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute (CIMWI) is dedicated to positively impacting conservation through marine mammal rescue, rehabilitation, research, and education to promote ocean and human health. ❣🥰

It is essential to check a cat's blood pressure, especially as they age, as feline hypertension (high blood pressure) is a common and potentially dangerous condition. While cats don't always show obvious symptoms, high blood pressure can lead to severe organ damage, including blindness, neurological issues, and heart problems. Regular blood pressure checks, particularly in older cats, are recommended to detect and manage hypertension before it causes significant damage. One of the most common methods vets use to measure blood pressure in cats is the Doppler technique, known for its accuracy and reliability.
