Had an awesome meeting with a new client today. This individual just needed to meet other people with brain injuries and see for themselves what can happen when you stay focused on the path.

While we know in our hearts not all outcomes are the same, many can reconstruct their lives and find a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

Tell us your story of success!

Fox 6 shared some tips for removing snow. Take a look brain injury survivors:

Safety & Technique Tips

Protect Your Back: Bend at the knees and lift with your legs, not your back.
Push, Don't Lift: Use a shovel to push snow to the edge of the area rather than lifting it.
Keep it Close: Keep the shovel close to your body to minimize strain on your spine.
Smaller Loads: If you must lift, fill only part of the shovel, or use a smaller shovel for heavy, wet snow.
Warm Up: Treat shoveling as a workout by warming up muscles first to prevent injury.
Take Breaks: Take frequent breaks (every 20–30 minutes) and stay hydrated.

By all means go slow and protect your head! Make sure it is truly snow you are removing and not bits of cement or other objects.
