🎶 "String Theory" had such a fun stop at The Outpost Music Store yesterday! Donna gave us a mini music lesson, showing off different picks (including a German pick for dulcimers) and explaining how the thickness changes the sound. We even got to see a dulcimer that was made in Hartland — a beautiful four-stringed instrument!

She shared a music book where the player actually uses a feather to strum — how cool is that? 🪶

If you ever need music gear, they’ve got a great selection of used equipment and so much knowledge to share. Thanks, Donna, for the warm welcome! 💜

A big thank you to Jori Hartwig from Delafield Tourism for meeting our Townin’ Around group last week at the Delafield City Hall & Library! We learned that early farmers playfully called the it Hayopolis, imagining their hay-producing town as a bustling metropolis. Later, Bob Lang championed the European-inspired architectural details that give Delafield its timeless appeal. We even spotted the library’s time capsule, which is due to open in 2059 (yes, we saved the date 😉). When asked to sum up Delafield in one word, we chose "charming." 💛Next time we’re in town, we might hike Lapham Peak, tour the old military academy, or explore more historic sites. Do you love Delafield? What makes it unique to you — the tall steeples, the brown brick, or something else?

Our group is excited to be volunteering with ERAs Senior Network this session! Here is John lending a hand with their birthday card campaign, which brings joy to seniors across the community. We had a great time ‘shakin’ it’ in our “Dancing through the decades” class accompanied by our community partners at Adava care. We had a blast showing off our dance moves! 😄

Today was a wonderful last day of Interim Week! In the morning, John from Waxed Candle Bar taught us how to make our own scented candles. They smelled terrific! In the afternoon, ComedySportz taught us about improv comedy and helped us participate in some improv games. We had a great time! Thank you, Waxed Candle Bar and ComedySportz!

What a fun second day of Interim Week!

This morning, Melissa Baxter, President of the Waukesha Community Foundation, lead an inspiring presentation about philanthropy and the history of giving back in our Waukesha community. Afterwards, we tried out some creative team building games.

In the afternoon, we experienced the Wonder of Mime with performing artist Jolie Canoli and her husband. We had so much fun learning the art of mime and watching the exciting mime performance.

Thank you to our presenters for another excellent day of interim week.

We had a great start to Interim Week! This morning, 414loral lead a flower arrangement workshop with a beautiful array of flowers. We had a blast building unique bouquets and exploring a new outlet for creativity.

This afternoon, Gary Huber, a longtime friend of ACAP, lead an exciting drum circle and taught us how to find our rhythm.
