The ACAP community is saddened to share the passing of former ACAP board member and long-time Waukesha public service leader Geraldine Wuerslin. "Gerry" passed away at age 93 on Oct. 11. She was active in Waukesha civic governance for many years. Among her many accomplishments were being the first woman appointed to the Waukesha City Plan Commission, a city alderperson, Common Council President, and a member of the Waukesha County Environmental Council. She also served as a member of the Regional Justice Planning Committee and as staff on the Victim Assistance Support Project.

We are proud to have had the support of this powerhouse of a public servant at ACAP. We also are grateful to the family for choosing ACAP for memorial gifts, along with Milwaukee Public Television.

Our Women Empowerment class had an amazing time visiting the West Allis Farmers Market over the last few Thursdays!

We set out to support women-owned local businesses โ€” and had such a great experience connecting with incredible entrepreneurs in our community.

We loved stopping by Fruity Fusions, where we enjoyed their fresh, low-sugar mocktail drinks - absolutely delicious and perfect for a refreshing treat!

We also supported A Sprinkle of Sugar, a small Waukesha-based, women-owned baking business that specializes in customizable, beautifully decorated desserts.

Every bite was as sweet as their story!

It was inspiring to see the creativity, hard work, and passion these women bring to their businesses supporting local women entrepreneurs is what empowerment looks like in action.

Calling all ACAP Supporters and creative minds! The ACAP Bowl-a-Thon is less than 4 weeks away! Registration is still open, but spots and lanes are filling up!
We are looking for some more baskets for the Silent Auction. Baskets that do well are consumables (food baskets, beer baskets, wine baskets, restaurant gift cards, chocolate baskets, treat baskets, etc.) and activities/experiences (golf outings, mini golf outings, passes to recreation centers, sports events, festivals, holiday events, etc.) We can also use new or regifted items to fill in some of our baskets, so check your closets and feel free to bring in any nice, still packaged items for other baskets. If you do not want to package the items, we have extra baskets here for your donations.
It is helpful to us if we receive all the donations by Monday November 5.
If possible, please fill out the donation form so we know what each donation contains.
Thanks so much for supporting ACAP!
