We’re so proud to spotlight our partnership with Marquette University School of Dentistry. As an established external rotation site, we provide D2 and D4 students with hands-on experience in treating patients with special healthcare needs and gaining insight into community-focused dental care.
Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting Nora, a D4 extern at our Waukesha Clinic. Over her three-week rotation, she provided direct patient care under the guidance of our CSD preceptors, contributing to our mission of expanding access to dental care for children and families. We’re thrilled we could share this externship journey with her. Nora is graduating in May and hopes to work in pediatric dentistry or care for patients with special health needs. She is going to do amazing things and we can’t wait to see all she accomplishes.

We had SO much fun participating in both the Menomonee Falls and Waukesha Christmas parades the last two weekends! It was great seeing so many smiling faces, and we’re so grateful to have been part of it. 🎄🦷✨❤️

✨Meet Elijah✨

Finding dental care that truly meets a child’s needs can be a challenge. For Elijah and his family, it was especially difficult. He has several rare medical conditions, and most clinics in their area either cannot accept his state insurance or lack the experience to care for children like him.

Even though it is a bit of a drive, the Molkentins choose Community Smiles Dental and every visit is worth it. With Casper, Elijah’s service dog, by his side, he feels safe, welcomed, and understood, and his family feels genuinely supported.

“Elijah never feels different here. The staff listen, they respect our choices, and they help him feel comfortable,” his mom shared. She added that if there were five more Community Smiles clinics in the region, each one would be full. The need for compassionate, accessible dental care is that great.
