Jennifer (Jenny) arrived at RHOW after a brainstem stroke. She began her journey requiring maximum assistance for all mobility and cares and was on a modified diet (pureed foods) and thickened liquids. After four weeks of recovery, Jenny went home independently transferring and getting in and out of bed, walking 150 feet with guiding assistance, and completing her self-cares with guiding assistance. Her diet was also advanced, and she is now able to drink thin liquids! Jenny credits the technology (Ekso and InMotion robots), the thorough education offered by the therapy team, and the friendly and encouraging staff, all as strong motivators for her recovery. Her work ethic set the example for the other patients in the hospital, and we can only hope we have the honor of working with others like you, Jenny! Keep up the wonderful work and come visit us any time!
