The newborn stage 😍
Every new phase in your baby’s first year is special, but there’s just something about those fresh teeny tiny newborns! The snuggles, the little baby grunts and sighs and yawns, marvelling over how perfect they are.
Between how cuuuute they are and the fact that they want Mama ALL the time, it can be hard to get time away for something like a massage. I get it! (Evidence, this picture of me so in love with my littlest at just a few days old.)
So I am SUPER excited to finally be in a space where I can say, bring your baby with! Newborns love to sleep during the day 😂 and they might just stay cozy in their carseat for most of your session. If not, we can stick with the sidelying and semi-reclined positions we used during pregnancy, and you can hold your baby as much as you need, or even feed them while I keep doing what I do.
Now I know you’re thinking, “But Jacki, what if the baby wakes up and starts crying???” And this is the really lovely part-I’m part of a women’s and family health collective that includes a lactation consultant and a PT that works with both moms and little babes. We LOVE babies here, and if your little one cries, it won’t be the first time we’ve heard that at work.
I absolutely advocate for parents taking time away for themselves- it’s important to remember you’re a whole person on your own first! But you don’t need to let lack of childcare or a cluster feeding newborn keep you from getting the care you need.
And postpartum moms, who have just completed a *huge* physical feat and are working around the clock caring for a brand new human? You need (and DESERVE) a massage.
Reach out to schedule your session, baby in tow or not- I’d be honored to take care of you and give you the balancing break you need.💕
