✨Sometimes it needs to break to fix✨
Day in and day out our amazing team members show up and give each and every patient their all. So once a month our team gets together for a team building event to reflect…Reflect on the good times and the bad. Reflect on all the wonderful people whose lives we were able to touch and the wonderful people who left this world to soon. Reflect on all the silly moments we shared together.
Healthcare professionals play a unique roll in our lives. They provide comfort in difficult times and bravery in the face of adversity. Providing Community-Based Healthcare is hard work!! It’s easy to forget healthcare workers are human, but for many of us, this is not just a job. We carry the struggles and memories of the day with us for our lives. Our team members strive to not only provide excellent healthcare in a clinic setting, but aim to find resources to bridge the gap for homebound individuals who cannot otherwise access care. For some patients, we are their only healthcare, their only resource, and their only family. They are just as much a part of our lives as we are theirs.
This past month was especially hard, so we decided to do something we’ve never done before…we smashed until we couldn’t smash anymore. We broke a chair for the man who lost his battle to cancer. We smashed a mirror for a women diagnosed with a late stage disease. We smashed a plate for every patient who told us they simply didn’t have the resources to age in the comfort of their own home and would potentially be separated from their loved one. Everyone broke something for a special patient who holds a place in their heart. Our patients are our family. Our work is our life. But once a month we take time for ourselves to remember we are an invincible team, capable of anything and everything. We let go of the past so that we are able to move into the future.
We love each and everyone of our patients ❤️ and we couldn’t do it without your support so THANK YOU! Thank you for allowing us to not only partner in your healthcare, but letting us into your lives and homes.
