As many of us anticipate enjoying the day off for Martin Luther King (MLK) Day, we will be urging our staff, family, friends, and community to take time to reflect on the meaning of the holiday. Along with Rosa Parks, Malcolm X, John Lewis, and many others; MLK was a pivotal leader throughout the Civil Rights Movement. A movement that is within our recent history. MLK’s vision extended beyond “peaceful protest,” interweaving the need for economic justice, desegregation, criminal justice, educational justice, and global justice. It is with great urgency that we all continue to honor this by learning from the past AND cultivating a better tomorrow by encouraging diverse perspectives, building community, and embracing humanity.

For many, the world feels pretty heavy right now. With a constant barrage of current events and general uncertainty and fear, it can be really difficult to navigate our mental health.

Trailways Counseling is hosting a Community Hygiene Drive to support Hope House in Baraboo and Brighter Tomorrows in Tomah.

If you’d like to help, donation bins are available at all Trailways office locations. Every item makes a difference for individuals and families in need.

High-need items include:
🧴 Shampoo & conditioner (full size)
🧼 Body wash & deodorant
🪮 Hair brushes & combs
🦷 Toothbrushes & toothpaste (kids & adults)
🧴 Lotion & hand soap
🧺 Laundry detergent & Lysol laundry sanitizer
