It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing my resignation from Hometown Pharmacy. My last day in Waunakee will be Friday, August 25th, and I'm sad to be leaving, for sure, but so grateful for all the amazing people I have come to know, and excitement for my next adventure. Thank you to everyone for the love and support over these past years. Your kindness will never be forgotten 🥰

Waunakee Hometown Pharmacy

Hometown Pharmacy opened a pharmacy in a tiny little space in Waunakee in November 2016 after Mallatt's Pharmacy closed. In March of 2019, the pharmacy moved to a much larger space formerly occupied by Mallatt's Pharmacy and Harris Pharmacy before them. The new location allows us to provide expanded patient care services including telepsychiatry appointments, a diabetes prevention program and a monthly wellness speaker series.

Heather Walker is a native Wisconsinite who received a B.S. from Drake University, School of Pharmacy in December 1994. She has practiced in various community and independent pharmacies across the country for more than twenty years. She now lives in Madison and is the lead pharmacist at Hometown Pharmacy in Waunakee, WI. Along with spending time with her husband, Jeff, and Basset Hound, Charlie, Heather enjoys biking, playing tennis, photography, gardening and travel. Heather is especially passionate about helping people achieve their health and wellness goals through promotion of healthy lifestyles and appropriate use of medication and supplements.
