By age 4, conversations become more fun, detailed, and imaginative! 🗣️✨
Many 4-year-olds are beginning to:
• Speak in longer sentences and tell simple stories
• Answer and ask “who,” “what,” “where,” and “why” questions
• Be understood by most people, even outside the family
• Follow multi-step directions
• Use correct grammar more consistently
• Talk about their day, feelings, and experiences
• Enjoy rhyming, pretend play, and early literacy activities
Strong speech and language skills at this age help prepare children for preschool, friendships, and future reading success! 📚💛
If your child is hard to understand, struggles with language, or becomes frustrated communicating, speech therapy can provide support and build confidence early on. 🌟
