Meet Charlie — our talented resident woodworker🪵
Over the years, Charlie has crafted everything from rocking horses and doll cribs to quilt stands – he even made a special rocking cow for his grandchild. He’s also built an assortment of toy trucks, tractors, cars, and other wooden vehicles!
Charlie uses oak wood from his own woods, cutting, drying, and planing it himself. He creates his own patterns, including some inspired by toys bought in Mexico. “I’ve got more tools than the Snap-on guy,” he jokes.
Woodworking has long been his "wintertime nothing-else-to-do job", and all three of his sons have followed in his footsteps, using his shop and continuing the craft. Charlie doesn’t sell many of his creations — he simply enjoys giving them away and sharing the joy.
