Waupaca Hometown Pharmacy opened April 8, 2013. We are very excited to be here serving the Waupaca community with our personal service, medication reviews, vaccinations, and free local delivery. Our pharmacists and staff members are always here and happy to help with any questions you might have. We take pride in our customer service. Our wait times are almost always shorter than those at other pharmacies and when you call our pharmacy you don't have to go through complicated phone trees to talk to our pharmacy staff. The Hometown motto "Our Family Caring for your Family" definitely applies here as we treat all of our customers like we would want any of our own family treated. Transferring your prescriptions is as simple as a two-minute phone call or a visit to our store. We also have a great variety of unique gift items for those special occasions or if you just want to treat yourself. Also, our Premier Value vitamin line is always Buy One Get One Free. We love our customers and would love to take care of your pharmacy needs.
Dennise Ross is the Managing Pharmacist and Partner of Waupaca Hometown Pharmacy. She grew up in Linden, Wisconsin, a small town of about 600 people and graduated high school valedictorian of her Iowa-Grant High School class of 1997. From there she attended UW-Madison and in 2001 received a bachelor's degree in Bacteriology. She worked for Third Wave Technologies doing research for a year until 2002 when she was accepted and started pharmacy school at UW-Madison. Needless to say she bleeds Badger red through and through. Upon graduation from pharmacy school in 2006 she and her husband Adam moved to Waupaca so Dennise could work for an independent pharmacy where she could really get to know the community of Waupaca and really work to make an impact through exceptional care of her customers. In 2012 the independent pharmacy Dennise was working for was sold and she worked a brief stint at a chain pharmacy before meeting with the CFO of Hometown and deciding that opening Waupaca Hometown Pharmacy could truly benefit Waupaca. April 8, 2013 Waupaca Hometown Pharmacy opened and it has been a wonderful experience. Dennise and her husband Adam have two children, Alton and Addison, and she really feels that through Waupaca Hometown Pharmacy she has opportunities to show her children that pharmacy should really be family oriented to give better care. Her newest passion is finding natural alternatives to medications and working to help optimize health before you get sick. She hopes to increase the wellness options Waupaca Hometown Pharmacy provides to help keep Waupaca healthy. Frequently if you stop into the store when Dennise is working, Adam and the kids might be there visiting or helping with something. Hometown's motto "Our family caring for your family" really fits everything Dennise feels pharmacy should stand for. If not working you can bet that the Ross family is watching or listening to every Badger game possible. Dennise is always up for a lively debate on what's happening with the Badgers depending on the season. In addition to the Badgers the Ross family loves spending time in the waters of the Chain O' Lakes or kayaking during the summer season. If you have any questions about our pharmacy, what we offer, or anything else we can help with don't hesitate to call!
