Our group ventured to Lake Michigan today, following mossy bridges, wooden stairs, and forest paths that felt like stepping into another lifetime. The air was rich with the scent of damp moss and ancient trees, while butterflies danced around us as if guiding the way.

At the shore, the waves roared in shades of blue and brown, stirring up treasures of stone, glass, and wood, while the wind swirled around us — smoothing, cleansing, blessing. We had planned a water ritual by fire, but Mother chose differently. She gave us earth beneath our steps, air to move around us, water to cleanse us, and fire still waiting to meet us later.

It was a beautiful day of magic, renewal, and connection.

Attending an astrology workshop, you quickly discover it’s impossible to cover everything in one sitting.

In this session, we explored our personal birth charts, touched on the Houses most relevant to each of us, and even briefly dipped into the topic of Nodes.

The purpose of this workshop was to help everyone recognize how the UNIVERSE intended for you to be—and what inner soul work is needed to step into your true self. Not the version shaped by others or by external circumstances, but your authentic essence.

Thank you to everyone that come out today! We had a FULL HOUSE! I appreciate all of you - it was an afternoon filled with laughter and several moments of "Holy crap!!" when we realized how accurate the stars are.

Astrology is such a vast subject that it could easily be an ongoing series. For now, we only scratched the surface. If you missed today’s workshop, don’t worry—we’ll be hosting another in the future. Keep an eye out for the event and be sure to sign up. We’d love to see you there! 🌙

In case you missed our monthly Firefly Chat Night, TONIGHT, here’s the scoop:

We talked about cults — and proved once and for all that we are DEFINITELY NOT one! (Not that we ever thought we were 😆).

We learned that they didn’t actually drink the Kool-Aid… it was Flavor Aid. Father Yod is not Zod from Superman (though that would be a crossover worth watching). According to his only LEGAL wife, he was just “a dirty old man on a lust trip.” Some groups thought aliens were coming to save them… and others? Well, they served a pretty great sandwich. 🥪👽

Next month, we kick off the ‘Ber Months Potluck Chats! 🎉 Firefly Chats are still a free evening of community, but now we’re adding food to the mix. RSVP is required so Tyra can plan tableware accordingly (and make sure no one gets stuck eating chili with a fork).

Our Story

Reiki Essentials & Wellness, LLC. studio and Firefly Gifts shop. I am always asked how I started my Reiki journey. After a lifetime of caring for small animals, then friends in distress, and then family members at the end of their life journey, Reiki was the next step in my journey. My Mother-in-Law was diagnosed with various cancers when she told me about a Reiki volunteer giving her a foot massage. I immediately wanted to be the one to be able to do that for her. Unable to do that for my beloved Mother-in-Law, I decided to volunteer for Hospice. I wanted to give back to the Hospice community as they had so generously given to my family with my Maternal Gramma, and again for my Mother-in-Law. Recently, I had a logo designed for the gift shop area in honor of my Momma. I named the gift shop area, Firefly Gifts in her honor.

Now, about you. Your journey has brought you here for a reason! We are committed to empowering you on your journey. If you have questions about Reiki, Acupressure, Access Bars, ThetaHealing, the spiritual, the metaphysical, or Love Languages, we can help you. You may come to the Studio looking for answers. Quite often people say they found us "by accident." There are no accidents on your journey. You were brought to Reiki, Essentials & Wellness Center as an answer to your heart.

Maybe you need answers about your intuition. Maybe you are looking for ways to trust and empower your intuition. We can help you with that Chakra. If you are seeking ways to relax and de-stress, we can assist you with that as well. Stress is responsible for anxieties, obesity, sleepless nights, headaches, muscle tension, heart disease, and more!

If you are interested in an education as a Reiki Practitioner, you've also come to the right place. I have developed a thorough program for my students. If you wish to learn more about this great healing modality and healing system, Reiki Essentials & Wellness might be the place for you. As one of my students and Practitioners, you are nurtured, and encouraged on your journey. My classes are relaxed yet detailed. We take our time, over an entire month, to learn the history, the details and feel the energy. After your certification, your education with Reiki Essentials & Wellness continues through my Practitioner Nurturing program. You will continue to grow spiritually and mentally, having many questions as we continue our journey. We meet regularly with other Reiki Essentials & Wellness Practitioners to learn and encourage one another. No matter what your intentions are for your Reiki journey, you will be supported and nurtured on your journey. If you wish to continue your journey as a Reiki Master, we have a beautiful program for that as well!
