As of this past Tuesday the Wausau Free Clinic has officially dispensed over $1,000,000 in prescription medications to our patients in-house and free of charge!

We were honored to have a special visitor today—Dr. Jeff Oswald a retired physician who is lovingly known as Dr. Oz who stopped by our new office to share warm wishes and encouragement. 🩺✨
Dr. Oz volunteers extensively at Community Health Partners - Wausau free clinic, it was inspiring to hear stories from a lifetime of caring for others, and we’re grateful for the kindness and wisdom he shared with us. Community Partners Campus had a helper this week!
The Public Health Vending Machine (PHVM) is stocked and accessible 24/7.
Items available to the public:

-Naloxone (Narcan) to reverse opioid overdoses
-Fentanyl test strips to detect the presence of fentanyl
-Midsize backpacks
-Hygiene kits
-Condoms
-Drug Deactivation System Kits

Public health vending machines are an evidence-based harm reduction tool that can help decrease drug overdoses by increasing access to life-saving resources. When combined with other interventions (like education, treatment access, and outreach), they support broader public health and safety goals.
