Paradise Black-As you can see this granite has its own superior quality in appearance. Not only does it have color variations depending on the type of monument, upright versus slant, it lends itself well for artwork such as flowers, crosses, etc. Although it is called black, it appears dark gray so if you are looking for dark gray granite, think Paradise Black. Did I mention we have a special going on Paradise Black slants? We do!

Fall in Wisconsin is SO beautiful. You can smell the wet leaves as they carpet the woods and watch as the colorful leaves drift to the ground. During fall, the scenery is marked by a rich palette of reds, oranges, yellows, and browns, which are a result of the changing foliage. These colors are not only visually stunning but also evoke a sense of tranquility and reflection.

It seems that for eternity, we have marked the graves of our loved ones, sometimes in granite, sometimes in marble, sometimes in limestone and sometimes even in wood. We believe it is important to mark every resting place.

Releveling
We also offer the service of releveling memorial stones, sometimes requested by a family and sometimes requested by a cemetery. Over the years, memorial stones, especially tall ones, can begin to tip or their foundation breaks down because of the elements.
Releveling often requires a new concrete foundation to be placed as in this case but not always. We recently performed this releveling of just such a stone; it stands 9 feet tall and is so exceptionally beautiful. We were pleased to assist the cemetery in this effort to get it back to an upright position.

Last week we showed some stones in need of cleaning and shared that this is a service we offer, although not our primary business. It was great to see a comment on the pictures asking to see "before" photos. Unfortunately, we do not usually take those because the family is aware of the stone’s appearance and that is the reason they contact us. We do take “after” pictures for the family, and I can share those here.
In this picture you can see we replaced the foundations under 4 slant markers and cleaned them as well. The family stone was cleaned but the foundation was still in undamaged shape, so it did not need to be replaced. These pictures represent two cleanings over the space of about two to three weeks so we could get them to be their absolute best appearance. The family is happy with the results, and I am sure you can see why

October marks the beginning of a vibrant fall season characterized by mild weather, the aroma of pumpkin spices, and the appearance of Halloween decorations in neighborhoods.
In Wisconsin, October and November are critical months for our industry, particularly in the placement of memorial stones. Our team is working diligently to set as many foundations as weather conditions permit. If the weather remains favorable, we plan to continue setting memorial stones into December, with the intention of completing these installations in the spring. Although spring officially begins in May, we dedicate the winter months to crafting memorial stones that have been pre-purchased. We encourage clients to consider placing pre-need memorial orders promptly to ensure timely production and installation, avoiding delays caused by seasonal weather constraints.

Our sister store, Rhinelander Memorials recently placed this stunning memorial in Forest Home Cemetery in Rhinelander honoring the late Norman John Grasser who was missing for 43 years. Norman’s brother designed this one-of-a-kind monument, and we are honored we could help bring his vision to life.
