Today, it's celebrated primarily in the state of Puebla in Mexico and also widely observed in the United States as a day to honor Mexican culture and heritage.

April 28 of every year is World Day for Safety and Health at Work, organized by the International Labour Organization to promote the importance of health and safety and the prevention of accidents in all types of workplaces.

Although preventing injuries is key, when accidents happen, we are here to help with our comprehensive Worker’s Compensation Program. Our interdisciplinary team of workers’ comp program directors, therapists, doctors, and other specialists prioritize getting injured workers the care they need, when they need it.

PAM Health Rehab Hospital of Wausau, in partnership with the Woodson YMCA, had an educational session to inform local residents of a newer pilot program in the Wausau area. Wausau Fire Department Certified Community Care Paramedic Matt Kozloski explained his role and the positive impact it is having on the area. Thank you to all involved for the community collaboration.
