Do I charge extra for credit card payments?
Nope, and I never will.

Credit card fees are simply part of doing business, and I account for them at tax time like any other expense. While payments by cash or check mean fewer fees on my end (and are always appreciated), I want you to pay in the way that’s most convenient for you. (Most of us don’t carry around wads of cash.)

So swipe, tap, or bring cash - whatever works best. No guilt necessary, and no extra fees either way.

I just returned home from a trip to Poland and am excited to get back to work this week. 🇵🇱

(The picture is from a hike my friend and I did through Hala Gąsienicowa in the Tatra Mountains. Don’t be deceived by how flat it looks there. It was a thigh-burning 3300 foot descent in just over 4 miles. 🫠)

My summer appointments have officially filled. I look forward to seeing you all this summer! Should I have any cancellations they’ll be posted on IG and FB.

If you have an appointment scheduled and I haven’t seen you since last summer, I’ll be emailing new online intake forms. You can also print one from my website, complete it, and bring it to your appointment.

My former student, Joslyn, will be sharing my space with me for a while. If you wish to complete a paper intake at your appointment please be aware that because I’m now sharing my space my schedule will be pretty tight. Depending on your arrival time, filling out your form at your appointment may cut into your hands-on time. Please plan to arrive a bit early, or feel free to choose one of the options listed above. As I’m working on prepping a new module for one of my massage classes at NTC, I was reviewing the Code of Ethics from ABMP, the professional massage association I belong to.

In it it states, “I will demonstrate compassion and respect for others. I will seek to decrease discrimination, misunderstandings, and prejudice. I will not refuse service to any client based on disability, ethnicity, gender identity, marital status, physical build, or sexual orientation; religious, national, or political affiliation; or social or economic status.”

Massage by Melissa is a No Judgement Zone during Pride Month and all months.

My summer schedule is finally available! 🥳

Later this summer I will be welcoming my former student, Joslyn, who will be sharing my space with me. (Once she is up and running I’ll share her contact information.) Because I will be sharing my space with another wonderful massage therapist, my schedule is a little more structured than usual.

If you’re dealing with complex health issues or have detailed questions about your care, I kindly ask that you reach out by email or text/phone before your appointment. How have you been spending the past few warm, sunny days?

It’s probably no surprise but outside of work I’ve been gardening. I also got to attend my son’s baseball scrimmage (his team won!) without needing a coat or blanket which was glorious.

Good morning everyone! Here’s the much anticipated NTC massage student clinic schedule in Wausau.

This semester we have 60 minute and 90 minute “therapeutic” massages. These massages will be tailored to your goals whether it’s relaxation, pain relief, or anything in between. Students may incorporate relaxation massage, deep tissue, hot stones, cupping, hot towels, etc. based on your needs.

We also have several dates for chair massage in E101/E102. (April 29th and May 12th from 10:30am - 1pm)

*Please allow 30 minutes in addition to your massage time for a thorough intake and to complete a feedback form after your massage.

(We may have 60 and 90 minute massages on May 5th and 6th as well, but we are waiting for confirmation on another event.)

60 minute massages are $40 and 90 minute massages are $55.
Chair massages are $10 for 15 minutes and are a fundraiser for massage exam scholarships. You do not need to schedule an appointment for chair massages.

We accept cash, check, and credit card.

Beginning April 21st students will be staffing the front desk and the phone from 8am - noon most Mondays and Tuesdays. That phone number is 715-803-1884.

Student massage clinic scheduling is now available at NTC in Wausau. **Please read this post in full if you’d like to schedule. **

We have the following clinic dates and times available. Except for chair massage these are all located in room F111 at the main NTC campus building in Wausau and you must schedule in advance.

Chair massage ($10/15 min) - no need to schedule chair massages in advance. These are fundraisers for massage student scholarships. Located in rooms E101 and E102.
Nov 11 and Dec 9 from 8:30am to noon

60 min Swedish Relaxation Massage ($40)
Nov 18 and 19 at 8:30am or 10am

60 min Deep Tissue ($40)
Nov 25 at 8:30am
Nov 26 at 8:30 or 10am
Dec 2 at 8:30 or 10am
Dec 3 at 8:30am

90 min Hot Stone ($55)
Nov 25 and Dec 3 at 10am

Please allow an extra 30 min for intake and feedback for all appointments.
