North Central Health Care North Central Health Care provides quality, accessible specialized care to people of all ages in Marathon, Lincoln and Langlade Counties in Central Wisconsin.

North Central Health Care is a provider of mental health, substance use, skilled nursing, developmental disability, warm water physical therapy, and adult protective services for Marathon, Lincoln, and Langlade counties. Appreciating the diverse challenges we all face, care is provided to each individual based on their unique interests, abilities and needs to deliver the quality of life each person deserves. Mental health, both inpatient and outpatient treatment, crisis services, addiction therapy and counseling, developmental disability care, adult protective services, and aquatic physical therapy are available for our communities. Centers are conveniently located in Wausau, Antigo and Merrill with a local office in Tomahawk, WI, for mental health care, substance abuse and developmental disability support and services. The Wausau Campus is also home for a 90 degree heated aquatic physical therapy pool that delivers doctor referred physical therapy services as well as exercise, family and open swim programs. Mount View Care Center is located on North Central Health Care's 17-acre Wausau Campus overlooking Lake Wausau. Mount View Care Center is repeatedly rated among the top nursing homes in the country, delivering long term care, short term rehabilitation, specialized dementia care and ventilator dependent care. Mount View Care Center is staffed 24 hours a day by professional employees, specially trained in therapies to assist and aide in recovery and daily living. Therapies include:

This position bridges correctional and community systems to support stabilization, continuity of care, and successful reintegration.

In this role, you’ll conduct comprehensive mental health and su***de risk assessments, provide crisis intervention and brief therapy, and develop individualized care and referral plans. In this role, you’ll assist with preparing and serving meals for general and therapeutic diets, restocking food areas, and keeping workspaces clean and safe. You’ll work closely with cooks, CNAs, and other team members to ensure smooth meal service and a great experience for residents, patients, and guests.

We offer both full-time (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) and part-time shifts, including weekday evenings and weekends/holidays. Starting pay ranges from $15.18–$16.53 per hour based on experience, plus a $1.00 shift differential for hours worked between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Schedules may include weekdays, weeknights, every other weekend, and holidays.

At North Central Health Care, our Crisis Professionals provide critical support to individuals and families during some of life’s most challenging moments. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference through compassionate, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care.

As a Crisis Professional, you’ll provide crisis intervention and counseling, conduct risk assessments through our crisis line, develop crisis plans, and collaborate with community partners including law enforcement and behavioral health teams. You’ll respond to on-site and mobile crisis situations while helping individuals access the most appropriate level of care.

We offer full-time and part-time opportunities with current overnight shifts from 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. Starting pay ranges from $29.91–$31.70 per hour for Bachelor’s-level candidates and $33.00–$35.93 per hour for Master’s-level candidates, based on experience. Additional shift differentials include $1.50/hr for evening hours and $2.50/hr for overnight hours.
