Robert “Bob” Mueller

age 76, of Wausaukee, died peacefully at home on Monday September 15, 2025. He was born in Milwaukee on June 22, 1949; son of the late Robert and Agnes (Graczyk) Mueller. He began his career as an Industrial Mechanic, where he prepared and adjusted machinery for large-scale production. He later advanced to ABB Robotics, working as a Senior Systems Technician for 21 years until his retirement. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, cutting firewood, and spending time snowmobiling and riding his UTV. He was also an avid fan of the Brewers and the Packers.

Bob is survived by his wife, Victoria; two sons: Trevis A. (Lisa) Mueller and Troy M. Mueller; grandchildren: Ryan, Shaun, Heather (Brian) and Stuart (Amanda); 6 great grandchildren; and sister, Kay Ellen (Bernie) Prepodnik. He is preceded in death by his son, Todd; brother, Carl; and sister, Carol.

Visitation will be on Monday September 22, 2025, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Amberg from 9am until the time of his Memorial Mass Service at 11am. Father David Schmidt is officiating. Burial will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Klondike.

Dennis Tomko

age 76, of Athelstane, passed away August 29, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center Bay Area. He was born in Washington County, Wis. on March 27, 1949; son of the late Michael and Arlene (Deering) Tomko Jr. After graduating from Germantown High School in 1967, he enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam era. He went on to spend more than 30 years working as a lineman for Wisconsin Bell before relocating to Athelstane in 1992. Dennis lived life in the fast lane-he loved riding his Harley, snowmobiling, watching NASCAR, and enjoying a cold Bud Light. In 2018, he and his wife Nancy opened Crazy Guyz Saloon in Athelstane, where he cherished the camaraderie and friendships built over the years.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Nancy; two daughters: Kristy (Cory) Motto and Stacy (Tim) Coulhard; stepdaughter, Lydia (Hayden) Davison; three grandchildren: Sawyer, Nolan, and Hanna; step-grandchildren: Theia and Atlas; and two brothers: Michael (Cindy) and Frank (Ann). He was preceded in death by his infant son and daughter; 1st wife, Judith; and sisters: Delores, Shirley, and Sharon.

Rhonda Sue (Bruesch) Mansfield

47, of Crivitz, was greeted by the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones at Aurora Bay Care Hospital in Green Bay. Rhonda was born on March 22nd, 1978, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to the late Gary Bruesch and Sue (Bruesch) Welty.

Rhonda attended Wausaukee High school until 1997. Soon after her teenage years she met Larry Mansfield who would become her husband. Rhonda and Larry would share many years, memories and a business together, R&L Detailing. Rhonda had a passion for cleaning, decorating, and helping people. Rhonda particularly loved flowers and taking hundreds of photos of many beautiful things, including a plethora of her favorites... selfies! Her life after Larry would lead her to having her son, Jace Timothy Gamlin. This is when Rhonda really found the love of her life. Jace was her pride and joy, and she enjoyed each and every moment they could spend together, especially shopping, traveling, and attending games Jace was playing in. She loved Jace to the moon and back and was his biggest fan. The last 6 years of her life were shared with a very special significant other, Jason Wagner. Jason filled Rhonda’s last years with love and grace. He spent countless hours with her and Jace and was there for everything they needed. The last years for Rhonda were filled with many happy times with those near and dear to her.

Rhonda is survived by her son, Jace; her Parents: Tim & Sue Welty; Sister, Kim (Troy) Hanson; Brother, Peter (Kim) Bruesch; Significant Other, Jason Wagner; aunt, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Father, Gary Bruesch; Ex Husband, Larry Mansfield; and Grandmother, Carol Kramer.

Visitation will be on September 13th, 2025, at Porterfield Lutheran Church, in Porterfield WI, from 10-1 with a short service to follow. Family is asking for anyone who would like to share a short, lighthearted memory or story to do so during the service time. Rhonda would want these memories to be shared and to hear from her friends. A light meal will take place after.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations that will be directed after, to organizations close to Rhonda’s heart.

86, formerly Amberg, passed away Thursday July 24, 2025, at Sun Valley Home in Marinette. She was born in Kentucky on May 17, 1939; daughter of Clay and Hazel Allen. Melda graduated from MC Napier High School in Hazard, Kentucky. She and her husband Henry moved to Amberg in 1969 and started working at the Boat Factory in Wausaukee. She thoroughly enjoyed gardening and canning, reading books and word search puzzles.

Melda is survived by her son, Henry; grandson, Shane Cassel; great grandson, Tyler Osmanski; and great great grandchildren: Kymzlee and Tyce. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry; two infant children; and daughter-in-law, Janet.

Graveside Service with short visitation will start at 12:45pm with burial at 1pm on Friday August 1, 2025, in the Amberg Cemetery.

Joy Ethel “Snooky” Schlais

of Kingsford, formerly of Pembine, WI and Marquette, MI passed away Monday June 30, 2025, peacefully at home. She was born August 20, 1927 in Amberg, WI to Peter and Amy (Fraker) McTrusty, the youngest of six children. Her father contracted TB and died when she was a year and a half. He gave her the nickname “Snooky” and it stayed with her all through the years. She lived in the Amberg area all of her early years and graduated from Amberg High School in 1945. On December 28, 1946 she married Harold Schlais. They celebrated 61 years of marriage before his death on January 7, 2008. The couple had three children, Randy, Penny and Sherry. Snooky and Harold farmed in Pembine Twp., WI for approximately 10 years before Harold took a job with Interstate Welding Sales. The family moved to Marinette, WI for a year and then to Marquette, MI where they lived until 1989.

When her children were a little older Snooky entered the workforce. She worked as the financial secretary for Messiah Lutheran Church and then at Paine Webber before taking a job with the County of Marquette in the County Clerk’s office. She served as Deputy County Clerk until her retirement in 1986. In 1989, Snooky and Harold moved back to Pembine and lived there for 10 years before moving to an apartment in Kingsford.

Snooky was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Pembine where she was a member of Senior Choir and Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Pembine Senior Citizens, American Legion Auxiliary #461 and was a 1st Armored Division Associate Member.

She loved her family and spending time with them. She and Harold loved to travel and made many trips throughout the country visiting friends and family along the way. She loved to bake and her delicious treats were always eagerly anticipated. She especially enjoyed her visits to the Islands Casino with her dear friend and neighbor Marge Bantle.

Snooky is survived by a son Randy (Judy Gotz) of Rhinelander, WI and daughters Penny Streeter and Sherry Labbe of Marquette, MI; four grandchildren: Joseph Schlais of Atlanta, GA, Lisa Schlais of Lansing, MI, Kristy (Matt) Godbout of Berlin, NH and Jeremy Labbe of Marquette, MI; four step-granddaughters: Marie (Will) Voskuhl, Alice (Chris) Wendt and LeeAnna Streeter of Marquette , MI and Sarah (Chad Coughlin) of Ishpeming, MI; 11 great-grandchildren: Layla and Laney Godbout, Logan (Rosemarie) Streeter, Aaron (Makenze) LaJoie, Emily (Chris) Sebeck, Sydney Voskuhl, Austin Wendt, Hannah Rosten, Ryan Voskuhl, Timothy Wendt and Phoebe Hendrickson; one great great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her brother and sisters: Everette (Carol) McTrusty, Florence (Glen) French, Laverne “Curly” (Wayne) Nettleton, Serle (Robert) White and Elsie (Walter) Dooley; and brothers- and sisters-in-law: Elmer (Phine) Schlais, Clarence (Eunice) Schlais, Raymond Schlais, Ethel (George) Bierstaker and Evelyn (Don) McCorkle and a son-in-law Timothy Streeter.

Visitation will be on Monday July 7, 2025, at Grace Lutheran Church in Pembine from 10am until the time of her Funeral Service at 11am. Pastor Gene Wickman is officiating. Burial will be in Pembine Cemetery.

age 55, Amberg, passed away peacefully at home on Monday June 16, 2025, from a heart-fought battle with cancer. She was born in Racine on June 3, 1970; daughter of the late Tibor and Helen Ruska. Eva graduated from Case High School in Racine. She was a kindhearted and compassionate person who embraced life fully. Known for her caring, loving, loyal, and understanding nature, Eva also had a deep love for animals.

She was a hardworking and dedicated employee. Eva spent nearly 16 years as a print coordinator at CNH Case in Racine before relocating to Amberg with her husband, Chris. There, she discovered a new passion working as a caregiver at Northpointe Behavioral Healthcare Systems, a role she truly cherished.

Eva is survived by her husband, Christopher; brother, Tom (Ann) Ruska; niece, Morgan; nephew, Christopher; 5 cats; and 4 german shepherds.

Private services will be held with burial in the Amberg Cemetery.

age 98, of Wausaukee, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday June 11, 2025. She was born in Marinette on December 29, 1926; daughter of the late Victor and Sadie (Theriault) Blanchette. Ethel was united in marriage to Joseph Leblanc on September 15, 1948. Ethel enjoyed playing cards-especially cribbage, bowling, snowmobiling, quilting, and listening to country music. She loved giving hugs, spending time with family, very witty sense of humor, and had a favorite saying, “O’well, what the hell.” She will be deeply missed.

Ethel is survived by her children: Norman Leblanc, Francis (Joanne) Leblanc, Rita Miner, Linda Barrett, Michael (Melissa) Leblanc, and Victor (Anne) Leblanc; grandchildren: Theresa Miner, Gregory Leblanc, Daniel Leblanc, Gary Miner Jr., James Miner, Elizabeth Salisbury, Michael Leblanc, Alexander Leblanc, Heidi Stevenson, Susan Leblanc, James Tangney, and Gabriel Leblanc; 15 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren with one on the way; and her sister, Janet Corey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Susan; and brothers and sisters: Pearl (Kermit) Tessmeier, Joseph Blanchette, Lorraine Corey, Elizabeth (Don) Mullins, Richard Blanchette, James Blanchette, and Shirely Konell.

Betty Jean (Fuhrer) Wesolowski

She was born January 26, 1934 and died at Rennes Health- West on May 21, 2025, age of 91. She was the youngest of 11 children born to Gustaf and Lydia (Bachmann) Fuhrer. Betty was born in Boyd County Butte, NE. At the age of 13 she moved with her parents to Bonesteel, SD and graduated from Bonesteel High School. On November 29, 1952, she married Chester John Wesolowski at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fairfax, SD. They lived in Wahoo, NE for five years operating a gas station before they moved to Wausaukee in 1957 after the death of Chester’s mother and brother Jerry to help his dad on the farm. In 1959 they purchased their own farm east of Wausaukee. Betty and Chester adopted four children one month old each: Michael, Robert, Mary and Jo Ann. Betty loved and enjoyed her children very much. She also loved working in her garden and tending to her flowers, sewing, quilting and reading books. She worked at the Wausaukee Bowl, Décor Products for 25 years (off & on), managed the Wausaukee Drug Store, and 14 years as housekeeper for a priest. She was a deeply religious person and was a member of CCW at St. Augustine Catholic Church as well as part of the Blue Army Rosary group.

Betty is survived by her two children: Robert (Aimee) and Mary (Rocky); 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and numerous extended relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband Chester; son Michael; daughter Jo Ann; 6 brothers (one was killed in service); and 4 sisters (two died at birth).

Visitation will on Saturday May 24, 2025, at St. Augustine Catholic Church from 11 am until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

age 89, passed away Saturday May 3, 2025 in Marinette, WI. She was born to Albert E DeLaet & Elizabeth Brosel DeLaet on March 9, 1936 in Wagner, Wisconsin. She married the late Jerry I Marquardt on September 22, 1956 in McAllister, WI.

Pat was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; a great cook, seamstress, homemaker and hard worker retiring from S C Johnson Wax Company. She continued her sewing crafts until recently. She and Jerry enjoyed their many years of travels up to Alaska, Mexico, around the US and 'wintered' many years in Arizona. Her favorite loves were her family.

Together Patricia & Jerry raised 3 children who survive with their spouses: Susan Marquardt (Scott Wallace), Karie Marquardt (Brian Czapanskiy), and Allen Marquardt (Susan Johnson). Patricia is also survived by grandchildren: Aaron (Emily), Aislynn (Keegan), Aidan, Kristine (Bill), Curtis, Katie (Steven), Justin (Katie). Great grandchildren: Zoe, Liam, Harper. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry I Marquardt, siblings and Granddaughter, Holly J Marquardt.

Visitation at Community Lutheran Church of McAllister, W2680 State Highway 180, Wausaukee, WI 54177 on Friday, May 9th from 10:00-11:00, funeral service at 11:00. Burial will take place at Community Lutheran Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow.

Frank Anthony Hohol

Frank went to be with the Lord on, April 22, 2025, at 7:43 am with his wife and son by his side. Frank was born on May 10, 1943, Mother’s Day of that year in Chicago Illinois to the late Frank J. Hohol & Marie T. Hohol (Machota). Frank Graduated from Holy Trinity High School (1961). He worked for Garden City Envelope & Colfax Envelope companies in the Chicago-land area. He was also a business entrepreneur, owning Video Experience, in Poplar Grove Illinois, and Crystal Falls, Michigan. Frank married his last love Terrie Anne Hohol, July 18, 1981. In 1999 Frank moved to Pembine Wisconsin to build his dream home on land he had began purchasing for his family in 1979, the year his son was born. For many years after he would bring his two daughters, son, and wife camping in his favorite blue truck. He enjoyed camping, fishing, deer hunting, spending time with family, and watching the Packer Games with friends in town.

His personal passions included, computers, which a love of he passed to his son airplanes, model rockets, and pens from his travels, soda shop music, war movies, and rummy some of his favorite entertainments.

Preceded in death by his parents, and other family members. Frank would of liked to note a few special people in his life, his niece Carina Hohol, sister Betty Sadowski, and her husband Ted Sadowski, who passed before him.

His surviving family, Terrie Hohol and their three children, Dawn Dow, Rhonda Rhodes, and Shawn Hohol, His brother John Hohol and wife Esther, their sons Vincent and John Jr., and His sister, Bernadine Bokowski. While he has many nieces and nephews, his loving family grew as follows: The Dows, Andy, Dawn, Anthony, Logan, and Anthony’s wedded partner Nicky, The Rhodes, Rhonda, Landon, and Jalyn, The Hohols, Shawn, Tynias, Angel (Lehr), Kaitlyn, and Justin (Johanson), and four beautiful great-grandchildren, given to him by his grandson Tynias, Arelia, Jace, Erveya, and Rowyn.

Celebration of Life to be held at Northwoods Chapel W8046 Aspen Ln. Pembine, WI, 54156 on May 31, 2025, with Visitation starting at 10am until his service at 11am. Luncheon to follow.

of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly April 30, 2025, at the age of 82 due to complications from a car accident. She was born to Chris and Virginia Carter on January 8, 1943. She graduated from East DePere High School. She met her husband, Hank Burkel at a town hall dance up in Silver Cliff, WI and they were married on February 2, 1963. They resided in Silver Cliff until Hank’s death in 2019, when Mary moved back to Green Bay and reconnected with her brother and sister-in-law and enjoyed her remaining years.

Mary is survived by her two children: Deb (Dave) Berndt and Mark (Jackie) Burkel; brother, Mike Carter; three grandchildren: Dana (Wes) Schubert, Jeff (Kayla) Pogrant, and Taylor Berndt; 10 great grandchildren; and 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hank; parents; in-laws: Jack and Mary Burgess; sister-in-law, Judy Burkel; and sister-in-law, Linda Carter.

There will be a private celebration of life for Mary.

age 71, passed away peacefully at home on Friday April 18, 2025. She was born December 2, 1953 to the late Thomas and Eleanor (Fenske) Martin. She was united in marriage to Ed Hultquist on May 3, 1975. Sally enjoyed quilt making, golfing, and watching her grandchildren’s personalities develop while they created lives of their own.

Survivors include her husband, Ed; two children: Samuel (Melissa) and Jacob (Tanya); seven grandchildren: Corbin, Edward, Floyd, and Gabriel Hultquist and Jarod, Jesse, and Tori Jandt; further survived by her sister and best friend, Karen (Don) Shaw; brothers: Thomas (Jocelyn) Martin, Peter (Diane) Martin, and Paul Martin; brothers-in-law: Fred (Jill) Hultquist, and George (Kathryn) Hultquist; sister-in-law, Christine (Peter) Lehrer; nieces, nephews, wonderful friends and neighbors. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Abigail; and in-laws: Charles (Joyce) Hultquist; a nephew, Wilson; and niece, Samantha.

Visitation will be held on Saturday May 10, 2025, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Wausaukee from 9am until the time of her service at 11am. Father Dave Schmidt is officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Wausaukee will follow.
