I am always reminded why I do what I do.

A mama reached out during her daughter’s softball tournament—her daughter was in significant back pain and struggling to run and hit. I wasn’t at the office, but she met me where I was to see how I could help.

During the assessment, I noticed her daughter's mobility wasn’t limited in forward bending—but rotation and loading patterns were restricted. That immediately told me her body was compensating somewhere else.

As we worked through her movement patterns, I found multiple areas that weren’t communicating well—especially through her neck and stabilizing system. She also mentioned she’d been dealing with headaches leading up to this.

After addressing those restrictions and helping restore proper activation patterns (including reducing overcompensation through the jaw and neck), her movement improved significantly.

She was able to move with much more ease—and mom had tears in her eyes. ❤️

This is exactly why we look at the body as a whole. Pain isn’t always coming from where you feel it.
