Massage + Cupping = Deep Relief & Restoration
If you’ve ever had a massage, you know how powerful touch can be for releasing tension. But have you tried cupping therapy? When combined with massage, it takes healing to the next level.
What is cupping?
Cupping uses suction (with glass, silicone, or plastic cups) to gently lift the skin and fascia. This increases blood flow, helps flush out toxins, and relieves deep muscle tension.
Massage + Cupping Benefits:
✔️ Loosens tight muscles
✔️ Improves circulation
✔️ Supports lymphatic drainage
✔️ Reduces inflammation
✔️ Eases chronic pain + stiffness
✔️ Promotes deep relaxation
Yes, those little round marks are temporary—but the results can be long-lasting. It’s like giving your muscles a reset and your body a breath of fresh air.
Whether you're dealing with stress, soreness, or just need some self-care, this powerful combo is worth exploring.

Not all cupping therapists learned properly how to use them and how to clean and disinfect them. Please make sure you are seeing a trained provider, like me! The pic posted here is one cup massaging with movement. I also have high powered magnetic cups, vacuum cups/stationary cups. Cupping is included in both Restore massage offerings.

After 15 years in business, I finally decided to purchase a domain and buy my website lol. The free version of weebly served me well all those years. I want to let you all know my new website is sattvamw.com (pssst I’m also going to be changing my business name too).

I wanted a business name that encompasses all that I offer to clients so beginning 1/1/26, my business name will be Sattva Massage and Wellness. More on that over the next few months ❤️

Here’s to 15+ more years serving you!

Massage Enhancement Spotlight-
Garshana

What is Garshana?
Let’s talk about one of Ayurveda’s beautiful self-care secrets that’s included in all of my Ayurvedic sessions: Garshana, or dry lymphatic massage.
Garshana is performed using raw silk gloves (like the ones pictured here), gently massaged over the skin following the natural flow of the lymphatic system. This treatment helps:
✨ Stimulate lymph movement
✨ Open your pores to fully absorb the nourishing herbal oils used during your massage
Compared to traditional dry brushing, I personally love using these gloves because they’re much gentler on the skin—especially for those with sensitivity—yet just as effective at boosting circulation and detox.

Clients often tell me how energized and refreshed they feel after this part of the session. It's such a simple but powerful way to support your body's natural cleansing processes.

💛 Want to keep the practice going at home? You can purchase your own pair of Garshana gloves at my office and incorporate this ritual into your morning or weekly wellness routine.
Your skin—and your lymph system—will thank you. 😊
Add-on to a Restore massage session for $10, or take a pair home for $20

Let’s face it—stress is everywhere. Work, traffic, family obligations, never-ending to-do lists… and sometimes, it feels like even your self-care routine is something else to stress about. Enter: lavender, the hero of today’s meme and a surprisingly powerful ally in the battle against stress and anxiety.

And if you’ve ever felt like the woman in the meme—completely covered in lavender in a desperate attempt to de-stress—you’re not alone. While I might not actually recommend rolling in a field of herbs (unless you're into that), I do support harnessing the natural benefits of essential oils and herbs for a more peaceful, grounded life.

Why Herbs and Essential Oils Work for Stress Relief
1. Aromatherapy Has Science on Its Side-
Essential oils like lavender, chamomile, and bergamot have been shown to activate brain areas involved in emotion regulation. Inhaling these scents can stimulate the limbic system, which helps manage emotions, memory, and mood.
2. Lavender Is a Superstar-
Lavender oil isn’t just a pleasant scent—studies show it can reduce heart rate, blood pressure, and cortisol (your stress hormone). It promotes relaxation and even improves sleep, which is crucial when your brain won’t stop racing.
3. They Encourage Mindful Rituals-
Whether you're turning on a diffuser, brewing herbal tea, or rubbing a few drops of oil on your temples, the act of using herbs can create mindful moments in your day. These rituals remind your brain to slow down.
4. They're Non-Habit Forming-
Unlike some pharmaceutical options for anxiety and stress, herbs and essential oils don’t come with a long list of side effects or dependency risks when used appropriately.

💡 Easy Ways to Use Lavender and Other Calming Herbs
Diffuser: Add a few drops of lavender essential oil to a diffuser and let the scent fill your space.
Bath soak: Combine Epsom salt with lavender oil for a calming soak after a stressful day.
Pillow spray: Spritz lavender water on your pillow before bed for better sleep.
Herbal teas: Chamomile, lemon balm, and lavender teas are excellent for winding down. Traditional Medicinals is a fantastic organic brand of teas.
Topical application: Diluted essential oils can be massaged into pressure points (like wrists or behind ears) for instant calm. Simply add a few drops to coconut oil, and apply.
🙃 But Seriously, Don’t Do This…
As funny as the meme is, you don’t need to be buried in lavender to find peace. A little goes a long way! Creating a relaxing routine doesn’t require an Instagram-worthy aesthetic or hours of spare time—it just takes intention and consistency.
So, what’s your go-to herb or oil when life gets overwhelming? Do you have a diffuser going while reading this? Let me know in the comments!
And hey, if you have ever gone full lavender burrito… I’m not judging. In fact, I want pictures. 😉

Clients always ask, “How do you know that’s the spot?”
The truth? Years of experience and training, understanding trigger point patterns, deep knowledge of kinesiology, working on hundreds of bodies…
…and let’s be honest—plenty of helpful hints from the client. 😉
