Here is the newest waiver from FMCSA…for drivers receiving their medical certificate…drivers now have 60 days to rely on the paper certificate after being issued. Previously it was 15 days.

We will continue to keep you all posted as the FMCSA continues to make updates regarding the National Register II digital changeover.

📢 Update from FMCSA

On July 14, 2025, FMCSA issued a temporary waiver allowing CDL and CLP holders, as well as motor carriers, to rely on a paper copy of the medical examiner’s certificate as proof of medical certification for up to 15 days after issuance.

Today, we modified that waiver: CDL and CLP holders, along with motor carriers, may now rely on the paper certificate for up to 60 days after the date it was issued.

This update provides drivers and carriers additional flexibility while ensuring compliance with medical certification requirements.
