My Gemini came Monday morning 6.16.25 at 7:26am.

8lbs 5oz & 21 in long, she is the smallest of our babies but arguably the hardest labor. Like her brother Silas, she was born en caul with the waters breaking only as she emerged. Although she was 4 days past her due date, she chose to be right on time selecting the moment she thought best.

Contractions began at 11pm Sunday night with timing quickly progressing to 3min increments. We went ahead and went to the hospital at midnight given how the boys were "precipitous". Only 5.5 cm upon arrival, we settled in as time passed and a heating pad on my back allowed for 2-3 minute mini dream states as I prepared for what was to come. As the sun began to brighten the night sky, so too came the intensity that brought me to 10 cm around 6:30am. Not feeling the urge to push, I waited and prepared, and coincidentally my wonderful OB Dr. Jacqueline Juna was able to arrive in time.

Different and unique, I began pushing with all the strength of the years of waiting, the fortitude created in the challenges and sacrifices made, the will and wisdom gathered in the time since my first miscarriage almost 3 years ago. As I released it all with the loudest delivery, she came out quiet and beautiful.

Being the last rodeo, I cut the cord to finalize this part of our journey together. And I hope to remember every detail, every sacrifice, every heartbreak and every moment of support and celebration that led us to her arrival this week.
