We are THRILLED to welcome Danielle to the team! Here’s a bit of her story! “From a young age, I’ve felt a deep connection to mothers and their babies — drawn to the sacred bond they share and the transformative power of birth. In high school, my curiosity about natural healing led me to study Western herbalism, which opened the door to the beautiful world of midwifery and home birth care. I went on to earn my Associate of Science in Midwifery from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in 2014 and served families in the Waterloo and Watertown area for seven wonderful years.
When people ask why I became a midwife, the answer is simple: I was called to it. Midwifery aligns with who I am — heart, hands, and faith. Every family deserves compassionate care, informed choices, and the freedom to birth in a setting that honors their values. Giving mothers a voice is a basic human right.
On a personal note, I’ve been blessed to welcome my own three children — Gabriel (6½), Annie (4), and Charles (1½) — through peaceful home water births. Life at home is full and joyfully chaotic with our little ones, a puppy, a house rabbit, fish, and chickens. We love football games, family time, park days, swimming, and homeschooling adventures.
I’m beyond thrilled to return to midwifery practice and join the amazing team at Authentic. It’s an honor to once again walk alongside families in this sacred work of birth and new beginnings.
