LCFS will be attending the 2025 LCMS Youth Gathering in New Orleans, July 19-23, where we will be promoting mental health wellness and highlighting our adoption program. The Youth Gathering brings 30,000 teens from across the country to provide the opportunity to come together as a community of God’s people to learn more about Jesus Christ, the Christian faith and their Lutheran identity.

"He predestined us to adoption as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will." Ephesians 1:5.

Mental health care should be accessible to everyone—no matter their financial situation. Thanks to generous community donations to the Green Lake Basic Needs Fund, your Community Foundation is proud to support Lutheran Counseling and Family Services, of Wisconsin (LCFS) in making professional counseling affordable and accessible in Berlin. This grant helps cover the cost of care for individuals who are uninsured, underinsured, or unable to pay.

Julie Decker serves as the Licensed Professional Counselor at the Berlin office, located in St. John Lutheran Church. With a master’s degree in clinical psychology and 33 years of experience, Julie provides personalized care for children, adults, couples, and families. Her services are open to everyone—not just members of the church.

Many in the Berlin community may already know LCFS from the Second Time Around Thrift Store, where store proceeds help fund vital programs like this one.

To all who give to the Green Lake Basic Needs Fund—thank you. Your collective generosity is removing barriers to care and restoring hope for neighbors in need.
