Our talented residents generously share their artwork, which is periodically showcased in the Robert and Carol Cassell Art Gallery.

We are currently honored to feature the beautiful paintings of resident Caroline, who discovered her passion for painting in her 70s after attending a workshop at the invitation of a friend. That friend reminded her, "It's never too late to start a new hobby,"—words that inspired Caroline to pick up a paintbrush, and she hasn’t stopped since.

Caroline views her paintings as stories, many inspired by the places she has traveled. For her, painting has been a deeply rewarding, enriching, and fulfilling experience — a true blessing that continues to bring joy and meaning to her life.

Yesterday, we kicked off the 12th Annual St. Camillus Serves Paper Products Drive in support of Kathy's House —celebrating the occasion with delicious complimentary brownies à la mode.

Kim Lamansky, CEO of Kathy's House, spoke about the meaningful and longstanding partnership between St. Camillus and Kathy’s House.

Founded in 2001, Kathy’s House is a non-profit hospital guest house providing affordable lodging and compassionate support for patients and their families who must travel for long-term medical care. Originally located at St. Camillus and now based on the Froedtert Campus, Kathy’s House welcomes approximately 1,500 guests each year, offering them a true home away from home during some of life’s most challenging times.

Every other year, St. Camillus comes together to celebrate an incredible group of team members who have reached significant service milestones—from 5 years all the way up to an amazing 40 years of dedication. This year’s celebration took place at the beautiful Westmoor Country Club in Brookfield, where honorees were recognized by their managers and enjoyed a delicious dinner. This meaningful event was made possible through the generous support of the Order of St. Camillus Foundation.

Attendees were surveyed about their experience at St. Camillus, and many expressed a shared sentiment: they felt a strong sense of family within the community. Thank you to all who make our mission possible every day!

A beautiful Mass of the Holy Spirit was celebrated last week at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School Milwaukee. This centuries-old Jesuit tradition marks the beginning of the academic year and invokes the guidance of the Holy Spirit for the journey ahead. Fr. Jojo concelebrated the liturgy with the Jesuit community and the Archbishop—a meaningful expression of our shared commitment to Cristo Rey’s mission.

Chef Giuseppe brought the flavor of Sicily to life with a hands-on almond cookie demonstration! Residents rolled up their sleeves to mix, shape, and bake the traditional treats from scratch—while picking up the chef’s tips for creating the rich flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture. The best part? Tasting the warm, golden cookies. Delizioso!

Independent Living residents soaked up the island vibes during a lively Luau Party, featuring fun tropical décor, refreshing drinks, eye-catching fruit displays, and irresistible pineapple gelato. The afternoon's highlight was a captivating live performance by Caribbean Eclipse, who brought the spirit of the islands to life with the sounds of the marimba and steel drum.

The St. Camillus Clinical Pastoral Education Program has successfully completed another unit, celebrating six new graduates! Throughout the program, these students developed a deeper understanding of ministry and the diverse needs of those they serve—insights they can now bring to a wide range of settings, including congregations, parishes, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare environments. Congratulations to the graduates!

We had a fantastic turnout at our marketing event yesterday! Our guests enjoyed a delicious spread of freshly made pizza, salad, and cannoli, all crafted by our talented culinary team. Guests also had the opportunity to learn more about life at St. Camillus through an engaging presentation on our Life Plan Community, as well as tours. From enriching activities and chef-prepared meals to multiple chapels for Mass, the Revitalize Wellness area, and a warm, welcoming community — there’s so much to love about life here!
