This month is Diabetes Awareness Month, so throughout the month, we will be providing information and resources!

Diabetic Retinopathy occurs when diabetes affect the blood vessels in the retina, (the light-sensitive tissue in the back of the eye), causing them to leak and distort vision.

Early signs of diabetic retinopathy can be detected through a comprehensive dilated eye exam.
