Our very own Russell Park was honored with the Quilt of Valor. Thank you, Russell, for your service!

The Quilt of Valor is awarded to Service Members and Veterans that have been touched by war. Russell served in the U.S. Army as a combat soldier in the Korean War, and he was wounded in action on June 2, 1951 for which he received a Purple Heart Medal.
As a result of the harsh conditions he endured, he received severe frostbite to his hands and feet. Later, he served as the Commander of the Waverly VFW Post 8104. He is extremely proud and honored to have served his country.
