Friday night, December 12th, I get to host a very special evening of classic Christmas music.

We've got some of the top jazz musicians in the Nashville area, along with a very special guest vocalist and we'll be presenting an evening around some of the most beloved Christmas songs of all time!

Proceeds of the evening go to benefit the Humphreys County Arts Council. Advanced tickets are available through any Arts Council member. Tickets also available at the door.

It's truly starting to look like a Hallmark Christmas movie in downtown Waverly.

There are food trucks, pop up vendor booths, our retail stores all through town are open and shopping is HAPPENING! Music is in the air, and it just FEELS like Christmas!

Bundle up and come on down. Do some shopping. Visit with your friends. (They're probably already here!) and stick around because at 5:00 pm, it's the annual Humphreys County CHRISTMAS PARADE!!!

Tomorrow morning, I will start contacting those who have entered in Saturday's Christmas parade with their line-up number and instructions.

If you have NOT received your line-up number by Thursday afternoon, contact me at 931-296-4865 and I will make sure you have it.

It's going to be THE BIGGEST PARADE we've had in many years!! Bundle up and plan on being a part of our festivities Saturday!

Next Tuesday, December 2nd at 1:00 pm is another meeting of the MI-DE-GA Classic Movie Club! This month, we're featuring one of the most beloved holiday films: "WHITE CHRISTMAS!"

Admission is FREE. We'll have backstories on the making of the movie, trivia, and PRIZES!! Don't miss your chance to see "White Christmas" on the BIG SCREEN!!

Members of the Humphreys County Chamber of Commerce were on hand last week for a ribbon cutting at Sit and Spin Laundromat on West Main Street in Waverly.

Nik and Tina C**n, owners of Sit and Spin have completely renovated it from top to bottom and turned it into a safe, clean, state-of-the-art laundromat the community can be proud of.
