Nurse Manager (RN)

Location: New Beginnings - Waverly, MN

Meridian Behavioral Health LLC is a leader in behavioral health care and addiction recovery services, with a network of addiction treatment centers throughout Minnesota. Our residential treatment facility, New Beginnings in Waverly, MN is seeking a Nurse Manager to supervise a staff of LPNs and TMAs, oversee the training and certification of TMA's, and handle various administrative duties. This position reports directly to the Treatment Director of the site.

New Beginnings consists of two separate facilities a few miles apart - one treating men, the other women. The Nurse Manager will oversee the nursing department at both locations. It's tough but wonderful work we're doing here and we look forward to adding a strong Nurse Manager to the site's leadership team.

Job Duties:
- Must adhere to all policies & procedures while performing duties.
- Monitors and assures the facilities’ compliance, applicable standards, regulations and laws; assists in assuring that all State and Federal requirements are met; plans, organizes and directs facility functions and activities to achieve objectives and comply with regulatory requirements. Prepares reports, maintains records, compiles statistics, etc. as required.
- Supervise all nursing personnel.
- Delegate daily work assignments as pertains to nursing personnel.
- In conjunction with Program Director, assure that nursing services are available and are consistent with overall client care, staffing ratios and program policies and procedures.
- Maintain clinical competencies of nursing staff, including training and signing off of all TMAs.
- In conjunction with the Program Director and MBH Human Resources, recruit, train and retain qualified nursing personnel.
- Provide on-call availability to shift nursing personnel for questions and/or emergencies. Any additional shift coverage by Nurse Manager must be pre-approved by the VP/GM of Residential Program.
- Provide on-call availability for intake personnel when appropriate and respond in a timely manner with admission confirmation.
- Communicate with MBH Medical Director and other medical health professions to integrate services in accordance with facility policies and procedures and client care plans.
- Enforce facility policies with authority to issue corrective action as needed.
- Make frequent rounds to ensure nursing personnel are performing their assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
- Review care plans weekly to ensure that appropriate care is being given.
- Follow all controlled drug policies & procedures as required.
- Oversee the medication disposal.
- The Nurse Manager may admit, transfer, or discharge clients per facility policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
- Must hold a RN license in the state of MN
- Prior leadership experience preferred.
- CPR and first aid certified.
- A minimum of two years continuous freedom from chemical use problems.

Transportation Driver
Location: Waverly, MN
Shift: Full -time

Duties and responsibilities:
- Transport clients to/from appointments, events and locations as deemed by the program.
- Utilize company policy for vehicle maintenance checks
- Follow all policies related to reporting vehicle accidents
- Attend staff meetings as requested
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Have the ability to work independently.
- Possess a valid driver license.
- The ability to drive a vehicle continuously for up to three hours.
- Minimum of one year continuing freedom from chemical use problems.
- Strong visual skills and ability to drive in congested areas and snowy and icy weather conditions
- Flexibility to meet a variety of changing priorities

Alumni Coordinator

Location: Waverly, MN

Hours: 10:00am - 6:30pm OR 11:00am - 7:30pm Tuesday - Saturday **somewhat flexible depending on event schedules

Pay: starts at $17/hr

Our New Beginnings family is looking for an Alumni Coordinator to help all of those completing our programs stay in touch with a support network. The individual filling this role should already have strong connections with the recovery community and will ideally have prior experience with event planning and marketing.

This is a critical role in building a vibrant, active and engaged Alumni community. This person will be responsible for administrative support and program management. The Alumni Coordinator will be focused on working with a cross-functional team including marketing, the treatment director, and discharge planning leveraging the team’s experience and industry best-practices in the development and ex*****on of an Alumni program. The positions scope of responsibilities will include but not be limited to program development and management, discharge planning, database development and management, Alumni inquiries and communications, and event planning and coordination.

Job Duties:
- Work closely with the Director and VP of Marketing, Program Director and Discharge Planning leveraging best practices to develop and launch an Alumni program.
- Serves as front-line resource for Alumni inquiries and manages coordination and contact with Alumnus.
- Manages Alumni database
- Plans, coordinates and provides logistical support for Alumni events
- Engages and coordinates speakers for Alumni events/meetings
- Works with discharge planning to coordinate and connect recent “graduates” with recovery oriented meetings, groups and support
- Assists in publishing quarterly Alumni newsletter, maintains and updates mailing and email lists and Alumni database
- Active in the recovery community

Job Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year or more experience with event planning preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Minimum of one year of freedom from chemical abuse problems.
- Preferred experience: event planning, marketing, strong computer skills (Wordpress, Excel, Word), website management
- Demonstrated relationship building skills
