Meet the ladies behind the scenes that keep Happy Kids up and running on the daily!

Meet Dale! Dale is our practice manager and master behind all things admin! She’s a problem solver and a true doer; if there’s a task to be done, it will get done! Dale’s hobbies are shopping at estate sales and creating hand-sewn crafts. She has 2 kids: a Lego loving 6 year old boy and a 2 year old girl who loves her baby dolls. Dale loves spending time with her kiddos, her husband, and pets: a dog and a bearded dragon.

Meet Gwen! Gwen is our wonder office assistant who is an old soul and so helpful behind the front desk keeping all things HKT running smoothly. In her free time, Gwen loves watching older shows and classic movies, antiquing, and spending time in cozy spaces with her 5 pets close by.

Meet Ann! Ann is our insurance coordinator and has over 25 years experience with health and welfare benefits. She is a Tennessee native and has lived in many areas around the country. Ann is a proud grandmother and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, running them around town when she’s not working.

We truly don’t know what we’d do without this admin dream team! 💗

Meet our Speech Therapy Team!

Meet Ally! Ally is a NC native. She has been serving kids as an SLP since 2018. She treats at various homes, daycares, and schools in the central Charlotte area. She has a special interest in AAC and speech-generating devices. Her favorite thing to do in therapy is child-led play, speech sound interventions, and giving a voice to kiddos who previously haven’t been able to express themselves well! Ally loves spending time with her husband and 1 year old daughter. In her free time she loves being outside, watching sports, traveling, and shopping!

Meet Susie! Susie has over 25 years experience as a speech therapist in public schools and outpatient clinics in Georgia, South Carolina, New York, and North Carolina. Susie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, doing crossword puzzles, traveling overseas, playing tennis, and going to concerts. Most of all, Susie pulls hard for the Georgia Bulldogs!

Meet Whitney! Whitney has been working as a speech language pathologist since 2012 and has experience in oral motor difficulties, early language development, articulation and phonological disorders, and cognitive delays. Whitney recently started her own speech therapy business. When not working as an SLP and business owner, Whitney loves spending time with her husband and three very busy kids. You can most likely find Whitney at a CrossFit gym, cheering on the Carolina Panthers, or on a ski trip.

Meet our OT Team (part 2)!

Meet Rebecca! Rebecca has been treating kids for 10 years and bops around to different schools and homes. Rebecca is a mom of two toddlers and finds joy in balancing home life, gardening, and being creative with her clients. She loves to travel with her husband and complete DIY projects at home.

Meet Carly! Carly is a Charlotte native and came to us with experience in inpatient rehab and a passion for peds! She loves crafting and creating obstacle courses with her kiddos. In her free time she loves yoga, paddle boarding, reading, and spending time with her boyfriend and dog Sunny.

Meet Emily, another Charlotte native! Emily loves to use a play based sensory integration approach with swings, crash pads, trampolines, and other fun tools! She is certified in reflex integration and the Safe Sound therapeutic listening protocol. Emily is a huge Auburn fan and UNC Charlotte fan as her husband is an assistant basketball coach there. Emily enjoys walking, cooking and traveling in her free time.

Meet Maria! Maria has over 30 years experience in the OT field, with the past 10 years being exclusively in peds with a passion for early intervention. MARIA has expertise with the pre-crawling infant with special emphasis on feeding and development. Maria has four daughters and enjoys traveling with them and her husband, as well as gardening, reading, and experimenting with plant based recipes.

Meet Brittany! Brittany is a Jersey girl originally, but moved to the Carolina’s 8 years ago. She works with a variety of diagnoses and is passionate about advocating for neurodivergent families. Outside of work, Brittany loves the outdoors, cooking, interior design, and spending time with her husband, her pups, and her new baby girl.

Meet Tia! Tia is our newest team member, an Occupational Therapy Assistant who has a passion for working with kids and a special interest in sensory and emotional regulation, as well as fine motor and improving activities of daily living. Tia was born and raised in SC and when not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors, coloring, cooking, and doing Pilates.
