“What you’re looking for is under your clutter” Helping people live better by reducing the time and energy from disorganization is The Clutter Consultant's goal. Think of how much time is wasted when we are unorganized. The biggest thrill is seeing someone smile when the job is done.

Celebrating 10 years today! 🥳
Because we all need to celebrate the milestones and moments. Remember being a kid and getting excited for the small stuff…..it matters!

This was a large house in a high end neighborhood in South Charlotte Metro area. It was HUGE and FULL.

There was so much to shift/move/sort. And many fun things to find too.
Who doesn’t want a stuffed fish to hang in the wall?? (We have seen many of these)

One client had a deer head mounted and the team was in a funny mood, they put the head on the bed and pulled a blanket up so it could sleep. (My team and I believe in having some fun-client roared with laughter-know your audience as well)

What animals have you seen stuffed in a home?

We spend so
Much time in “the heart of the home” otherwise known as the kitchen.

When it’s cluttered and preparing food becomes a challenge and hard, eating well becomes a challenge and hard. Which spirals into all
Other areas of life.

This week, I had the honor to help a sweet woman reclaim her kitchen.
We opened boxes of things she’s had in storage for years.
We pulled 4 boxes for donations, small
Appliances to sell and two huge bags of trash.

She was twirling in the space and grinning ear to ear like we just gave her an icecream cone when it was completed.

That’s the happiness we leave behind.

The next day? She offered to make us sandwiches in her newly found space!

Now THATS a
Compliment I’ll take💖🥳

Guess how many sets of dishes she had? (How many full and partial sets?)
I’ll have a prize for the right guess)

What do geese (this goose actually) have to do with clutter?

More than you’d think.

This goose has a nest. She must because she’s sitting on it every time I walk by, which is almost daily.

She’s filled her nest with feathers, grass, leaves, Pineneedles, all the things that make a goose nest comfortable to welcome little baby gosling’s.
It’s filled with things to make it comfortable for mama to sit on this nest more than she doesn’t sit on it.

Homes are similar. We fill them with the things we need.

We fill them with beds, scented soaps to clean, dishes to eat on, sofas to sit on and rugs to make the floor comfortable for her feet.

With this mother goose has not done… Is fill it with trees, blankets, litter that’s blown around the neighborhood.

She keeps this nest streamlined to support what’s going on in her life right now.

So many times our house was set up to support us in a time long gone. The time that we’ve lived and moved away from.

Does your house currently support the life that you’re living? Or is it an example of your history?

Awareness is where change happens. It’s where clarity enters. And when you’re aware, if you want to make change you can.

Ask yourself: Does this space support my life right now?

You will find the clarity you need. It’s under the clutter!

Letting go of the physical is:

Powerful
Scary
Uncomfortable
Liberating

And leads to:

Space
Focus
Better relationships
Increased energy
Less housework

Ready to improve many aspects of life and not sure where to start?
Try a drawer, a shelf or just a few mini and fill a bag for trash or donations.

You will feel better and see subtle changes to start and then they build with momentum.

I believe in you.

You can do it.

Do you struggle with “ finding yourself”?
Sometimes these coaches and gurus talk about you need to “find yourself”.
This term can feel very nebulous and hard to implement.

Finding yourself is going within, but when we have been taught as a society, not to go within, instead to look on the outside…. Well sometimes that’s a good place to start.

Join me as we look at the interconnectedness of our inside and our outside spaces.

There’s a lot more coming on this topic that can truly be life-changing.

And this… This is going to be exciting!

I want to give a huge shout out to CMP Moving and Delivery Inc. Christian and his crew worked HARD yesterday.

I’m a home organizer and do a lot of move coordination. This means I help align the day of the move, or in this case the final move out. (A few months after the actual move-it’s a story for another time)

Christian Prince and his crew showed up early, worked in the heat with MANNERS -all day-even when exhausted.

They were VERY AWARE of how they pulled in-the house location and other cars too. (We had the homeowner dog around and they were so sweet with her)

These guys did some extra bits and nibbles we were not expecting to accomplish and always with a “yes sir”

They moved this ridiculously heavy exercise piece twice -no complaints. And they struggled.

If you need something moved or hauled. Call them. Holly answers the phone and she’s a doll.

We all need this contact in our phone (704) 774-9824

Keep moving.

Some days are like that. You need to keep the momentum up.

This was taken on one of my busiest days this week. We helped someone wrap up a very long move (I’d call it a tradition to the new place at this point)

Do one small task and if you have time, another.

Make your bed-one task done.
Brush your teeth-that’s another.
Have a cup of coffee/tea -now you’re cooking.
Maybe as you’re swishing the mouthwash later, you can toss the products in the drawer that are old?

Possibly as you’re waiting for the water to get hit in the shower, you can sort a stack of old washcloths.

It’s the small tasks that all add up and don’t add more time in the day.

What’s a small task you do that helps your day?

On a project, my pockets are FULL so I can keep moving.

Bonus if you remove sloops don’t need/use/want in the process!

How many piles of paper do you have?

It’s spring time and time to make some room. Taxes are done all those old papers are hanging around and you’re not quite comfortable. Just throwing them out?

Then it’s time for a shred event! Here’s a free one in the Charlotte area run by some pretty amazing people.

They are requesting personal documents only

Shred the papers that no longer matter and make room for what does.

This party starts 10am “until the truck is full”
