This gentle Qigong warm-up movement helps to open the chest and upper back so you can breathe easier and relieve upper back tightness. Shifting weight from front to back strengthens the legs and promotes better balance.

Mindful movement with Qigong helps to calm and focus the mind and improve the mind body connection. The movement can be practiced three times on each side.

Join me for this Earth Element Qigong sequence that supports the health of the stomach, spleen, and pancreas. The Earth Element movements are practiced four times per year as the seasons change. This element provides a sense of grounding, centering, and peace during times of transition – in this case – moving from Summer to Autumn.

A Qigong practice is based upon the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. There is a focus on using movement, breath, and intention (instead of acupuncture needles) to clear sluggish or stagnant Qi (energy) along the stomach channel and replenish with fresh Qi from the earth into the spleen channel.

This movement supports digestion not only physically, but also helps us digest life, because just like the seasons, life is always changing. Earth Element Qigong is great for clearing stress, worry, or overthinking so you can go through your day feeling revitalized with a sense of peaceful energy. ☯️😊🧡

This video is a mini compilation of Qigong sequences for the Fire Element. These movements support the health of the heart and small intestine and are practiced during the summer season.

Typically these sequences are practiced as individual exercises with more repetitions. What you see here is a summary that combines some of the movements that are commonly practiced.

Notice how the arms are outstretched to the sides and overhead to encourage the flow of Qi along the heart and small intestine acupuncture pathways. These movements help release sluggish, stagnant, and toxic energy and revitalize the channels with fresh energy that the body creates for itself during the practice.

Simply said, Good Qi Flow equals Good Health, not only for the physical body, but for the mind and the emotions as well. If you have been struggling with a health concern that traditional medicine has not been able to adequately treat, please consider Qigong. You will learn how to move your body in unique ways, let go of stress and pain, and finish with a smile.

The first class is free, and the class schedule for September can be viewed using this link:

The video was recorded at the base of Raymondskill Falls in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.
