Position Summary
We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team. The ideal provider is committed to high-quality care, comfortable with autonomous clinical decision-making, and passionate about treating patients with respect, empathy, and clinical excellence. This role includes psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, patient education, and coordinating care with other providers.
Responsibilities
Perform psychiatric assessments, follow-up visits, medication management and psychotherapy.
Develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with patients to support symptom improvement and overall well-being.
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation within EMR
Provide care in alignment with best practices, safety guidelines, and Georgia state regulations.
Coordinate with therapists, primary care providers, and other clinicians when appropriate.
Participate in periodic team meetings and contribute to a supportive, collaborative environment.
Offer patient education on medications, lifestyle strategies, and integrative mental health approaches as appropriate.
Qualifications
Active PMHNP-BC certification.
Current Georgia APRN license (or ability to obtain).
DEA registration (or eligibility).
Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric experience preferred, though strong new graduates will be considered.
Strong communication skills and comfort working independently in a telehealth or hybrid model.
Commitment to patient-centered and trauma-informed care.
Compensation & Benefits
Part-Time:
W-2 employment with a generous fee-for-service structure
Earn potential $120+ per hour, based on an average caseload of 2 patients per hour
