HEATSTROKE IS PREVENTABLE‼️
Dogs and cats are not able to regulate their body temperature the same way humans do, making them more susceptible to heatstroke.

With today being almost 100°F, we recommend SKIPPING WALKS and only bringing your pets out for brief bathroom breaks.

Keep pets inside with fans/AC and access to fresh water. Also keep in mind the temperature of the pavement in your pets’ paws.

If you notice any signs of heatstroke or you are ever concerned, please call/bring your pet to TVETS!

Please leave your four legged friends at home during this weather!

Please leave your four legged friends at home during this weather!

It is NEVER a good idea to leave your pet in the car in the summer, even with a window cracked, even for 10 minutes. Take a look at this graph that shows you just how hot the interior of a car can get.

If you’re in the Millbrook Rd/Glen Rd area please keep an eye out for Neo!

With Easter right around the corner it’s important to familiarize yourself with the types of flowers that can cause great harm to your pet! Although Lilies are beautiful, they are incredibly toxic to cats and it is best to keep them out of your home to keep your four-legged family members safe!

Flowers and plants can add beauty to your home, but some may pose a risk to curious pets. The good news? You don’t have to give up all floral décor! Check out this list of toxic and pet-safe flowers to keep your home bright and your pets safe. Make sure to reward your furry friend for keeping out of your indoor jungle by shopping with our friends at Chewy using aspca.org/Chewy 🧡
