Hello my faithful massage clients. It is with deepest heartbreak that I have decided to close down my massage business. My heart does not want to let this go but my body has decided otherwise. My shoulder is worse since surgery and the options I’ve been given are not good for my age or career. I’m so grateful for your trust in my abilities over these many years. I have enjoyed getting to know each one of you and cherish your vulnerability while on my table. I don’t know what the future holds for me but I’m trusting God will guide me in the right direction. Kendyl will be available in my office through June 2025

Hello my massage family! I’m 5 months out from rotator cuff surgery and it’s not healing how I expected. I was hoping to be back to work soon, but my body decided otherwise. There is a new tear in the muscle that was repaired and an anchor started detaching, which has caused it to be extremely weak and painful if I do anything repetitively. I was, and still am hoping time and PT will heal it better, but will be seeing a different surgeon soon for another opinion on what to do. This has been very difficult for me as I love and miss my work. I’m so grateful for the texts and calls checking in on me. Because of this I don’t have a return date yet. If you are in need of a massage, Kendyl is still taking on some of my clients out of my office. Please reach out if you would like.

3 months out from rotator cuff surgery this week. I wish I could say it was successful. I had the hard news of hearing that I have two more high grade partial tears. I still can’t lift my arm very well. I have more pain and less movement than I did before surgery. My plan is to keep up with physical therapy to continue working on strength and I will see a different doctor the end of January to figure out a plan. This has been a difficult road physically and emotionally. I am praying for God to intricately heal the issues I have going on. I’m trying to keep myself busy by taking a new class and doing some arts and crafts as I’m able.  Hope everyone has a beautiful week💛

To keep me occupied I started a new colorful puzzle and have been able to sew some rice bags together. I just started working on strength in PT this week. Small steps toward a better shoulder. I’m just over 3 weeks out from shoulder surgery. All went well and healing is a good but slow process. PT is getting better each time. This is a true test of my patience and dependence on others. I’m grateful for my family and friends who have reached out and helped. My advice is take care of your shoulders! Rotator cuff tears and all the stuff that comes with it is no joke.
Remember Kendyl is available if you need a massage while I’m off.

I want to let you know that I have another massage therapist who is going to be covering some days while I am off healing my shoulder. Kendyl is a Wayland native and has been doing Massage for 13 Years.
She is contracting with my business Main Street Massage.
Kendyl will be available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the day. It is best to reach her by text at
269-355-2411. Be sure to let her know that you are one of my clients.
You will be scheduling and paying Kendyl directly. Her preferable type of payment is cash or Venmo. Be sure to ask her any questions that you have.
She does good deep tissue massage and has a very kind and happy personality.
Rates will be the same
30 min- $45 cash
$47 Venmo
60 min- $75 cash
$78 Venmo
90 min- $110 cash
$114 Venmo
Kendyl also has contracts with other businesses so please be patient if she doesn’t get back to you right away.

My rotator cuff surgery is this afternoon. I look forward to having a healed arm and being back to work early next spring 🌺

Update on my shoulder. After 3 years of thinking I had tendinitis I found out there is a large/massive tear in there instead! So, I am having rotator cuff surgery next week. I’ll be off work starting September 18 and plan on coming back in the spring. Dr said I’ll be off 4-6 months and slowly come back as I gain strength back.

I’m so grateful to have the ability to celebrate 25 years of being a massage therapist this month! I’ve learned so much from a great variety of clients and classes I have taken. My education truly started with Becky Avers who took time to teach me so much my first few years of working. My hands will continue to work for 25 more years if that’s what God wants me to do.
