Memories
As we gather together today...
We each remember Sally Diaz in our own special way.....
We have all shared with her joy, happiness, and tears.....
She left so many wonderful memories for us from her "living years."
Sally made a positive impact on many lives......
She influenced her brother, sisters, grand children, great grandchildren, her daughter and husband, and her sons and their wives.......
One thing for certain we can all agree upon......
Is that the love she displayed to us always WILL carry on......
Her children were her pride and joys!....
Her daughter and her three boys!.....
Her oldest son, Bruce, remembers (when he was only five) that his Mom woke him up early to watch Neil Armstrong walk on the moon..
Little did he know back then, that day would be such an important event in American History so soon!..............
Karen cherished all the time that they spent together.......
and long phone calls about everything, even if it was just to talk about the weather!....................
Keith remembers listening to Bob Dylan records she played and other great music too......
He keeps this memory alive by listening to the songs through and through!......
Michael remember taking his Mom out to eat at Nirchi's restaurant and telling her that she was going to be a grandma again!.......
She cried tears of joy, and now today her grandson is ten!
Sally also made friends with all of her children's spouses and wives....
She impacted all of their lives.......
Richard remembers spending a very special holiday......
That day was Mother's Day, which was spent with both Mom's, during the month of May!.............
Ruth remembers her and Sally going out to lunch.....
Then coming home, sitting on the porch, talking about flowers, and just talking a whole bunch!
Jean remembers her talking about the dinner she had where she learned of the coming of her grandson.....
and Sally telling it more times than one!..........
Kim remembers her humble response to every little gift you gave her...saying, "You didn't have to do that!"
She would have such a grateful heart, and with tears in her eyes, she would admire each gift, and then give a hug and gentle pat.........
Sally's grandchildren were so special to her indeed......
Within each one she planted a loving and blooming seed........
Richie remembers how Grandma made Christmas Eve the very very best......
With all the food, joy, laughter, presents, and fun, everyone felt welcome and no-one was just a guest!
Kristen remembers the movie nights that her and grandma shared....
Smiles, and laughter certainly weren't spared......
Joshua remembers when Kristen, and Grandma, and him, went on the best Long Island trip.....
They enjoyed the beach, and ocean. They watched the waves roll and rip!..........
Michele remembers Grandma playing the piano. Grandma always called her "My Snow Baby" because it always snowed on her birthday!..............
She gave her a snow angel and it touched her heart in a very special way................
Josiah remembers Grandma taking good care of him......
Mom and Dad had to work, but no worries, Grandma and Marcia took care of his every whim!.........
We will hold these memories dear.....
and think of them often throughout the year......
Goodbyes are hard to say........
But so much easier when we know that we will all be together with her again one day......
We know you are with out any pain, (Sally, Mom, Grandma Sally, or Gram) or suffering.......
You are now in the arms of our Savior and KING!
