With tremendous honor, we celebrated our resident veterans with blankets that were donated in loving memory of Margaret Branning. Margaret lovingly gave her talent and time to share her beautiful afghans with each veteran. Sandy Kline cultivated the veteran’s program, and along with Shirley Noble, collected the blankets. Dale Pepper, Commander of the V.F.W. in Honesdale spoke of his time in the service, and the veterans reminisced sharing life lessons, decision-making, and introspection. Our dietary staff make a special cake to honor all those who attended.

Honorable Veterans: Big Al; T. Peterson; R. White; P. Sprague; D. White; G. Simmons; B. Schwab; G. Kinzinger; T. Myers 🇱🇷

It was a glorious fall day when Western Wayne Band came to entertain our residents, staff, and visitors. The event was fun filled with a dancing dog, color guards, and many gifted students who made the residents want to dance, sing, and smile. The band is led by Director, Elaine Ort, who graciously comes to our facility annually to entertain our family of residents and staff.

Halloween was "Spooktacular" at Wayne Woodlands Manor this year. Roughly, 600 Trick or Treaters came to visit our residents, for all treats and no tricks. We greatly appreciate the continued support and love we receive from our local community and their beautiful children. 👻🎃🤠

St. Patty's Day celebration included interaction between the staff and the residents. Several games and shenanigans were going on at the Woodlands. The residents were challenged to find the Golden Leprechaun! The proud winner, Bernadette, adored her staff teammate, Cindy, and was thrilled to be the winner!! Many residents won lottery tickets after playing the Find Your Lucky Charm game. They also had to guess the number of candy kisses. Phil, the administrator won for the staff and Leona for the residents.
