A sweet surprise at Brightview White Marsh! Our residents were treated to donuts and coffee from Dunkin’ after their incredible TikTok videos caught some attention. 🎥✨
The morning was filled with laughter, smiles, and plenty of sprinkles, and our residents had the best time celebrating together. A huge thank you to Dunkin’ for making this day so special for our Brightview Stars! 💜

This Friday, we’re celebrating a very special milestone - Marjorie DiTullio is turning 104! 🎂💜
A lifelong New Englander and proud Boston sports fan, Marjorie has cheered on the Celtics, Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins through 39 championships in her lifetime - and she hasn’t missed a moment of the excitement. 🏆 From Fenway to Foxborough, she’s been a true superfan for more than a century.

What’s the buzz here at Brightview Devon?? 🐝

We are now Honey Bee 🐝 🍯 experts thanks to Nancy from Thornberry Apiary. We learned the intricacies of beekeeping through videos and stories by our presenter. We also learned about the bees themselves and how they create the honey in their homes. Best of all, we were able to see a large group of bees in the observation home!

Come visit us and be a part of the many interesting and intellectual discussions we have at our community!

This past weekend we celebrated a wonderful person, Reva. Reva has volunteered for several years here at Brightview Devon, dedicating her Saturdays to play beautiful piano for us. We had a celebration to send her off to college. Although we are sad to see her go, we are wishing her the best of luck in her future endeavors!

🔥 S’more Than Just a Treat! 🍫🔥
Ladies Night at Brightview Devon was a hit!

Is there anything that says summer quite like s’mores? That perfect combination of gooey toasted marshmallow, melty chocolate, and crunchy graham cracker… it’s nostalgia and comfort sandwiched into one delicious bite.

Our Ladies Night consisted of tabletop s’mores on the patio! We even enjoyed a frozen s’mores cocktail. Lots of laughs and memories were shared 🏕️

🌺 Aloha Vibes Only! Today we traded the workday blues for island hues! 🌊 We enjoyed an entire day full of Hawaiian FUN! 🍹🌴

We had a “Wet T-shirt contest to see who could make the most colorful shirt by squirting tie dye filled water guns! Bob Patterson gave us an INCREDIBLE Hawaiian themed accordion performance - every chair was filled. We then had our Luau Happy Hour on the patio with pineapple rum punch 🍍 , Hawaiian tattoos, coconut shrimp, mango salsa, and music! 🎶 To finish off the day, dining hosted Dinner and a Movie showing “50 First Dates” with a delicious Hawaiian themed 3-course meal. 🍽️

Thanks to our festive residents and associates, we had a blast. Stay tuned for our next themed day in August! 🌞🌺

What an unforgettable evening! A massive thank you to everyone who came out to experience the magic with us. The West Chester Band absolutely blew us away - the sound, the energy, the talent…it was like something out of a movie!

To the performers in the West Chester Band - THANK YOU! Thank you for rescheduling due to rain and playing on one of the hottest evenings of the summer. ☀️

Our Vibrant Living Associate, Bill 👨‍🍳, made his FAMOUS cheesecake for our residents this week 🍰 during our “Tasty Tuesdays” program. This Tuesday also happened to be National Raspberry Day 🍓 so Bill added raspberries to make it extra sweet! We devoured the cake, leaving no crumbs behind. Some of us even licked the bowl at the end 😋

Thank you Bill for showing us how to make this delicious cheesecake! Come join us for our Tasty Tuesday program where we create different recipes to enjoy together.

Today we gave a warm welcome to our new Executive Chef, Tim! Tim comes with an expansive background in the restaurant industry and has been exploring some new dishes here for our residents.

Tim presented a Chef Demo today, creating a delicious carbonara. 🍝 We were all asking for seconds and thirds!

We also hosted our monthly “Dinner and a Movie” showing “A League of Their Own.” ⚾️ The dinner featured deviled eggs 🥚 , BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, and warm peach cobbler for dessert 🍑

Thank you to Tim and our incredible dining team for bringing fun, delicious food to our plates!

WOW! What a breathtaking performance by The Fellowship Choir! 🎶 The choir is on a weeklong missional tour to Philadelphia and we were their first stop. It was a packed house and we are looking forward to the next time they are in our area.

The Fellowship Choir is the combined youth choirs of Second Baptist Church, Richmond, VA, and Knollwood Baptist Church, Winston Salem, NC. The Fellowship Choir formed in 2023 by joining together two youth choirs from churches associated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, connected also through their sibling directors, Taylor Vancil and Rozanna Vancil Goocey.

Sometimes the weather can dampen your day but here at Brightview Devon, we make the best of it! Our “Symphony Under the Sky” event looked a little different than planned. We still enjoyed a wonderful surf and turf candlelit dinner, a beautiful array of desserts, and a breathtaking performance by Ajibola on cello.

Our residents truly enjoyed this event and are looking forward to the “original” performance of the West Chester Community Concert Band in July!
