🚀 Proud moment for the New Jersey Doctors of Physical Therapy!

We were honored to be the first group of clinicians to participate in the groundbreaking course “Robot-Assisted Hip and Knee Arthroplasty: Biomechanical and Rehabilitation Implications” with Stryker Orthopedics.

Our clinicians learned directly from robotics physician pioneer Dr. James Cahill, who lectured on the history and latest advancements in robot-assisted THA and TKA. Even better—we didn’t just learn about it… we got hands-on experience demoing the MAKO total hip and knee robots!

We’re especially proud that our very own Dr. Melanie Eskin also presented on the rehabilitation implications of robot-assisted total hip and knee arthroplasty, grounded in the most current and up-to-date literature.

Bridging surgical innovation and rehabilitation science allows us to better understand what our patients go through in the OR so we can deliver more precise, informed, and effective care in the clinic.

We invite parents and caregivers to attend our Early Development Parent Workshop led by Dr. Alexa Schaefer at Maywood Library. This session focuses on understanding early developmental milestones, the role of movement in healthy growth, and recognizing when additional support may be beneficial.

The 5K for Pediatric Cancer brought together so much of what we value at NJCPT: supporting wellness, connecting with our community, and showing up with purpose.

Our team provided guided stretching and compression boots for runners before and after the race, creating moments for recovery, conversation, and care.

It was an incredible reminder of who we are beyond the clinic, grounded in service, fueled by connection, and always committed to helping people move forward. 🤍💪

We are grateful to celebrate Jenny, one of our favorite furry friends! At 14 years young, she’s proof that age is just a number when you've got great care and lots of love 🐾 ❤️

Jenny visits us three times a week for her PEMF for Paws sessions, to help her stay active, keep her steady on her paws, and stay full of spirit. Her Mom, Lisa, shared how much PEMF therapy has made a difference in providing Jenny comfort.

Meet Rosie, our sweet 13.5-year-old Pom-Shih Tzu Patient! After just two PEMF Therapy sessions with Dr. Michelle Furman, her human shared that “her limp is so much better!” 🐾💜

Our osteoporosis patient success story highlights what’s possible through expert program design at our clinic and the care delivered by our clinicians.

After just 8 months, her DEXA scan revealed remarkable improvements:
• Lumbar spine T-score: 📉 -2.5 ➝ -2.0
• Femoral neck T-score: 📉 -2.5 ➝ -2.1

The progress represents a meaningful shift from osteoporosis into the osteopenic range. Her recovery reached a remarkable milestone: her physician shared she had never witnessed progress like this within a year and confirmed that medication is no longer necessary. 🙌

We’re proud of the measurable outcomes this program continues to deliver and grateful for the clinical leadership of Dr. Kate Fink and the Montville Physical Therapy, whose expertise elevates care at NJCPT. Naomi is a dedicated ballet student at the School of American Ballet, the official school of the New York City Ballet. From the Nutcracker to A Midsummer Night’s Dream, she’s graced the stage at Lincoln Center and recently earned recognition in The New York Times for her performance.

Her strength, precision, and resilience start behind the scenes. 💪🩰 Naomi follows a customized program by Dr. Alexa to strengthen her core, knees, and ankles, and support her balance and foot mechanics, all critical for preventing injury and supporting longevity in such a demanding art form.

Thanks to the focused work Naomi puts into her physical therapy with our expert Doctor of Physical Therapy, Dr. Alexa, she is heading overseas this summer to train with two of the world’s most prestigious companies: the Paris Opera Ballet and the Royal Danish Ballet. We're so proud to support Naomi’s journey, and be part of the team keeping her ready for center stage 🤍

NJCPT at Wayne Racquet Club 🎾

TJ, Mady, Nicole, and Tobi spent the day engaging with both familiar and new faces in the Wayne community.

We reconnected with former patients to support their ongoing wellness journeys, while welcoming new individuals to experience the benefits of expert Physical and Occupational Therapy which promote recovery, improve movement, and enhance long-term function. We also connected with a medical assistant from a sports medicine practice in Oradell, laying the foundation for a meaningful collaboration to better serve active individuals in our region.

It is an honor to be out in the community, educating others, building relationships, and highlighting the expertise and outcomes that define NJCPT.
