Janet Randall Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner I provide both psychotherapy and medication management Sometimes the circumstances in life are too much to handle without some help. My approach is eclectic.

The life events might be overwhelming or mental health might be compromised due to physiology. Working in psychiatry for over thirty years has given me a respect for many different modalities. There is not a one size fits all approach to healing. Together, we will look at the issues and find your path. We will explore the options and work together to find the appropriate treatment. If needed, a referral to a practitioner who can help will be recommended. I have experience with all age groups, couples and families.

One of the narratives promoted by advocates of estrangement is that a parent’s best is never good enough—especially if an adult child has any grievance at all. Over time, these accusations have expanded so broadly that they undermine the very meaning of genuine abuse.

To all the good parents who did not abuse their children—and that includes roughly three-quarters of estranged parents—if you did the best you could with what you knew at the time, and you loved your child with your whole heart, that was enough. None of us is or ever was perfect, and neither are our adult children.

Healthy relationships require mutual effort. They cannot be carried by one person alone, and parents are not meant to shoulder that burden indefinitely. Relationships do NOT require perfection. Please understand that. Now is the time to care for yourself. You are enough. Hugs, Anna Strand.
