🎃Happy National Pumpkin Day! 🎃

Pumpkin carving isn't just a great fall activity, did you know that you are involving Occupational Therapy as well?

🎃 Not are you only using your hands, but you are also using fine motor skills, visual motor and bilateral coordination.

🎃 It is also a great tactile sensitivity with slimy texture inside of the pumpkin.

🎃 Using the spoon to scoop out the inside and using a knife to cut out the shapes of the face for your jack-o- lantern can improve your back, arm and hand strength. It can also enhance your grasping patterns, arm coordination and sensory processing skills.

Monday matters, health should be your number one priority if it is not already. So, where do we start? Well lets start from the inside so, that we feel and look healthy on the outside.

Very often we do not think or even talk about what our culture may consider taboo. But this does not mean we should live in embarrassment or guilt?

1. Do you leak urine when you cough, sneeze or engage in sport activities?

2. Do you need to go to the bathroom often?

3. Have you refrained from intimate life in the last months out of fear of insecurity?
