Located in Wayne, NE the Medical Center offers 21 spacious patient rooms, including 2 OB suites, 2 critical care rooms, and 1 hospice family room. The Medical Center also offers over 20 unique specialty physician services through the Outpatient Clinic and performs 14,000 procedures annually utilizing Providence’s laboratory, imaging, and surgical services. In addition to these services, PMC is home to several highly specialized behavior health, rehabilitation therapy, and wellness programs. Providence Medical Center employs over 200 individuals, making it one of the largest employers in Wayne and the surrounding area. Our team of professionals is committed to carrying out PMC’s mission of providing quality healthcare in the Spirit of Christ. Today, we celebrate National Compliance Officer Day! Andrea Blecke, PT, DPT, ATC, serves as PMC's Compliance Officer.

As compliance officer, Andrea plays a vital role in promoting our vision of being the hospital of choice by ensuring regulatory adherence and maintaining the highest standards of patient care. She oversees and monitors the implementation and operation of the compliance program and works closely with our Quality and Patient Safety team to mitigate identified risks and ensure the appropriate quantity, quality, and composition of care is provided.

September is National Peripheral Artery Disease Awareness Month 🫀🦵PAD is widely misunderstood and often goes undiagnosed, with many people not experiencing symptoms until the disease is advanced. 1 out of 10 adults over the age of 40 have PAD in the U.S.

Risk factors include:
🦵Smoking
🦵High Blood Pressure
🦵High Cholesterol
🦵Diabetes

Symptoms include:
🦵Legs hurt or feet are heavy when walking, but get better with rest
🦵Pain/Cramping
🦵Numbness or weakness
