❄️ Stay Safe in the Cold this Winter! ❄️
As the temperature drops, it’s important to take extra care of your body to avoid injury. Cold weather can lead to stiff muscles, joint discomfort, and even slips or falls. Here are a few tips to help keep your spine and body safe this winter season:
🧣 Layer Up – Keep your muscles warm by wearing layers. Proper circulation is key to preventing strain or stiffness.
🧘♀️ Stretch Before You Shovel – Preparing your body before tackling snow can help reduce strain on your back and neck. Stretch those muscles! When shoveling snow or lifting heavy objects, bend your knees and use your legs to lift, not your back. This helps protect your lower back from strain and injury.
🥾 Watch Your Step – Ice can be sneaky! Slow and steady is the way to go when walking on slick sidewalks. Keep your posture aligned and be mindful of every step. Make sure you wear comfortable and grip friendly shoes to be able to navigate the outside weather.
