We are so very pleased to announce that after waiting several years, a bill to license art therapists in Virginia was signed by our Governor! This is a great achievement for our profession and community as we will be better able to attract more art therapists to our state and work towards more accessibility to mental health care!

We invite you to celebrate Mental Health Awareness month by doing something you enjoy. It can be easy to forget to play, think we don't have time or assume it's not ok when there are so many other things to get done. If we don't make time for play and other ways of caring for our mental health, our bodies and minds will let us know. You are so much more than what you accomplish and it's ok to take time for yourself. Here's to prioritizing your mental health!

Come join us for coffee (thank you ), bagels (thank you ) to learn to knit and crochet projects to donate to refugees! We have a lot of yarn and donated materials-thank you everyone who donated!! Now we just need you-we're here until 1 pm!
