Abbie Staggs Love is a 2007 graduate of Wayne County High School and earned her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2012. She also holds a Master’s degree in Special Education.
Abbie has been practicing as an occupational therapist for 14 years, with experience across a variety of settings including skilled nursing, home health, outpatient, and pediatrics. Since 2015, she has been an employee at Waynesboro Post Acute and Rehab, a place that holds deep personal meaning for her. As a child, she often visited the facility with her grandmother, who worked as a nurse on the south hall for many years.
Abbie is passionate about building relationships with residents and helping them regain independence or improve their quality of life through occupational therapy. She considers it a privilege to serve in a place that has been part of her life for so long.
She is married to Chad Love, a history teacher and basketball coach, and they live in Clifton with their three children—Lincoln (11), Lanna (7), and Andie (5)—along with their two dogs, one cat, and five goldfish. In her free time, Abbie enjoys traveling with her family, watching basketball, participating in church activities, and staying active through running and exercise classes.
Thank you Abbie for making such a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve!
