🎗️Go Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness 🎗️
Every September, we honor the strongest warriors among us: children and families fighting childhood cancer.
Here’s the part that doesn’t sit right:
• Childhood cancer research receives only ~4% of federal cancer funding.
• Most kids are still treated with the same chemotherapy “recipes” from the 1980s.
• Meanwhile, every other corner of our world has advanced. Think about it: in the 80s we had corded phones and cassette tapes. Today we have smartphones that put the world in our pocket.
Technology has leapt forward, but for kids with cancer, treatment protocols look almost exactly the same. That’s not okay.
Wear gold. Share gold. Speak up. Our kids deserve more than decades-old medicine and scraps of funding.
