In America, cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of death in rural areas.

We are excited to bring this service to our community and help offset that statistic.

Many other changes are underway as we transition to a specialty care facility as Burke Health.

A mobile cardiac catheterization lab made its way from Indiana, down Liberty Street, and to the Burke Medical Center over the weekend, marking the first of several advancements to come over the next few months. Once complete, the cath lab will enable cardiologists to perform minimally invasive tests...

The crane operators, team from Indiana, and construction crew did an awesome job getting this delivered and put in place!

Still a lot of work to do before it’s ready, but be sure to pick up the this week’s True Citizen for the scoop on what this is, how it benefits the community, and another big announcement!

If you've undergone surgery, chances are you've woken up to the compassionate face of a perianesthesia nurse.

This week we want to celebrate the perianesthesia nurses that care for the patients that are going to have or have had a surgical procedure under anesthesia.

Last month alone, our nurses cared for approximately 100 surgical patients right here at Burke Medical Center, and that number is growing every month as our surgical program expands!
