Our office is hiring for a veterinary receptionist!
We are seeking a self-motivated professional who is empathetic but can remain firm on policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have previous background in veterinary medicine and will possess excellent customer service skills, a friendly attitude, and a passion for all animals. Candidate must have strong ability to communicate effectively with other staff members as well as clients. Experience with AVImark is preferred, but not mandatory. Candidate must be able to lift up to 40lbs. Please include references with your resume.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
·Greeting patients and clients with a friendly and professional demeanor
·Taking detailed notes from client communications and ensuring doctors and staff are informed when a client needs a call back
·Scheduling routine appointments and surgeries
· Answering multiple phone lines and fielding questions appropriately
· Making appointment reminder calls
· Communicate schedule changes with other staff members
· Request, receive, scan/upload, and enter records
· Retrieve emails and reports from specialty offices and follow up if appointments are needed
· Enter prescriptions from the Chewy Hub and ensure pets are up to date for needed prescriptions
· Effectively processing transactions and collecting payment
·Sending monthly reminders
· Housekeeping duties
· Opening and closing procedures
