Haywood Vocational Opportunities HVO is a social enterprise providing employment in medical device manufacturing and service. HVO’s training programs are nationally accredited by CARF.

We empower all individuals with disabilities through vocational training and community engagement, supporting their journey toward independence and success. Operating as a not-for-profit, social enterprise organization, HVO provides vocational training and employment opportunities for adults with disadvantages and disabilities. The diverse & integrated team environment makes this company unique. HVO believes that people have the right to be respected, earn a fair wage, & to have equal opportunities. HVO’s blended workforce provides a successful combination of disabled & non-disabled to achieve daily production levels while at the same time meeting its overall mission:

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our very first HVO Bingo & Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser! We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

We’re excited to share that we sold 100 tickets—making it a completely sold-out event! All proceeds raised tonight will go directly back into supporting the programs at HVO, and we are so grateful for this amazing community. It was a great night filled with fun, food, and fellowship—thank you for being a part of it!

✨The Heart of HVO: Chris ✨💙

This week, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Chris—better known as “Little Chris.”

For nearly five years, Chris has been a valued part of HVO, bringing energy, positivity, and a great sense of humor to everyone he meets.

Chris truly loves being at HVO and looks forward to coming in each day. His enthusiasm is contagious, and it shows in everything he does. While he helps out on the production floor, his favorite part of the program is getting out and staying active, which is where he really shines.

Chris also has a creative side. He enjoys drawing, art, and painting, using his talents as another way to express himself.

In addition to his time at HVO, Chris works out at a store on Main Street called Sassafras. He enjoys being part of the team there and staying busy.

Chris also enjoys attending events and participating whenever he can. He is a proud member of Special Olympics, where he continues to stay active and involved.

Chris is known for always being on the move and bringing joy wherever he goes. Whether he’s cracking jokes, sharing a smile, or simply being himself, he has a way of brightening the day for everyone around him.

We’re grateful to have Chris as part of HVO. His positivity, creativity, dedication, and sense of fun make a lasting impact every single day. ✨💙

✨The Heart of HVO: Travis ✨💙

This week we’re recognizing Travis, our Production Manager, as the Heart of HVO.

Travis has been part of the HVO team for 11.5 years. He started as a machine operator and worked his way up to Production Manager, showing his dedication and commitment to the company over the years.

His role is making sure production has what they need to meet customer demand, helping keep things running smoothly each day. What Travis enjoys most about his job is interacting with the team and the people we serve on a daily basis.

When he’s not at work, Travis enjoys watching the Denver Broncos play football. 🏈

We appreciate Travis for his hard work and the leadership he brings to the HVO team!
